Anybody know where I can rent a cat? I have a mouse living in my house in the city (haha, a city mouse). I don't mind sharing my space, but the dang thing just took a big bite out of the burrito tortillas I was gonna use today! :grr: Sounds like a big one too. Kinda freaking me out, and I can never seem to find him.

Going all OCD with the cleaning now, and doing the eucalyptus aromatherapy thing. Hopefully it'll pack up and leave soon, and move far away to the country...or at least the next unit...gourmet Chinese food over there! That guy can cook!

Get a Snake, they are way better mousers than Cats are and they only eat once a week. You don't have to worry about cleaning or smelling a litter box. I love Snakes, had a Boa until he learned to escape from his aquarium, hell I might still have one but I haven't seen him in over a year??? :D

Try an old-fashioned mousetrap. It's yukky when the mouse is caught, but they really do work.

Between the snake and the mouse, I think I'd rather have the mouse!
SandySu, I don't like killing them (because then I'd have to deal with the carcass. Ew.). I'd rather find a way to send them packing...or get eaten.

All's quiet here right now...maybe he's gone! Come to think of it, all this eucalyptus is making ME wanna leave! Smells like Ben-Gay in here!

You could try the no-kill type of trap that just catches them. Then take it to a pet store so they can feed it to a snake :)
Half the time a cat isn't going to munch the whole thing, but rather bring it to you as a gift. :) So you'd still have to deal with a carcass and try to not hurt the cat's feelings
I have a couple of those, Star. They just eat the peanut butter and laugh at me.

Cindycated: they have one called the "better mouse trap" - operates like a clothes pin. Squeeze to set - lil bit of p-nut butter ...
when the mouse is caught hold over the outdoor trashbin and squeeze it again to open. hubs is always eatin' in the vehicle - had a mouse in there ... (chewed up my 'reuseable' grocery bag).

Enjoyed 'catchin' up w/ y'all ... humor is certainly the best "drug"! (Lil bummed as the sale of our place fell thru ...)

Weather: We had frost (again) 2 nights ago - no warning this time ... (Great storm pics again - Rave!)
Sure fun to see the horses kickin' up their heels in the evening!

Regarding FB: The ones that love it - wonder how they'll feel knowing their pics are used for face scanners ... face scanners used by stores to send discounts to your smart phone ...

And to the OCD'd here: fully understand ...
I'm goin' nuts til I get a spice rack type thingy put into the cupboard to 'organize' my juice ( alphabetically of course ) ...

Probably just off feeding it's little ones, pretty soon it will be mice. Snakes are one of the coolest pets you can have, they don't bark or leave a mess for you to clean up and if you hang a sign on your door that you have pet Snakes roaming your house you won't have a problem with burglars. The only Snakes I am worried about are all the rattle snakes that live around my property. Not so much worried as cautious, I still think they are cool but some of the big ones can kill you because it takes longer to get to the hospital than you have time too once they bite you. Thankfully they let you know when you are getting to close. I can't wait to hear the end of the mouse saga. With the weather cooling off chances are you will see more and more as they look for a warm place to spend the winter. :D

Hi Reptilr and the rest of my Voltie friends. Miss chatting with you guys as well but after two negative experiences with the company and some less than stellar cs, one issue still not fully resolved, I no longer do business with them so in all fairness I don't post on their forum. Because of you guys and the way you feel about SI, as well as the unresolved issue being minor, I chose not to post in the negative review forum. Wish all of you and SI the best. I'll be reading and "liking" from time to time.

The value of FB depends a great deal upon how you use it. Through FB, I was able to locate friends that were important that I'd completely lost track of. For example: In high school, my best friend ran off with my boyfriend to Canada and married him. She never contacted me again because she thought I'd hate her for that. I've tried to find her for years to reconnect. Through FB, I was finally able to do that. Also through FB, I am able to maintain contact with my old artist buddies from when I was on tour. I can see their new paintings, read of their adventures, and enjoy them vicariously. I was able to see my niece's wedding photos. That was important because I was unable to travel to attend her wedding. So - I'm just sayin' that beauty truly is often in the eye of the beholder.

Hey Rave, was just looking to see if you had posted anywhere and found this. I have to chime in about Facebook. I found the kids I went to grade school with and hadn't seen in forever. We had a reunion and 25 people showed up that hadn't seen each other in years, and it was just like we had seen each other yesterday. Good times. I am quite grateful for Facebook!
