Yep - you're a true animal lover.

My son got me a Furby for Christmas years ago. I used to put him in the pantry to shut him up. A few minutes later, from behind the closed pantry doors, I would hear "Hmmm - boring!" I also took him on the road with me once just for grins. He was in the passenger seat when another vehicle tried to occupy the same space that I was currently occupying - thus attempting to defy the laws of physics. Furby rolled out of the seat on the floor exclaiming "Whoooa!! Me scared! Worried! Wa!" I couldn't even get annoyed at the other driver after that.

Poor Furby, you should have put its safety belt on. I've always wanted one but my daughter was scared of them LOL.
What a cute story !!!

Well I am reduced to posting from my phone and reading this is giving me a headache. Our club house got robbed last night and I'm just hanging around waiting on the cops so I can give them a list of missing stuff. One bike several firearms and all of the liquor and beer. This is not how I had my Friday planned.

I hope they catch who did it. So sorry for your loss and I hope they can recover the firearms and the bike. That's scary

Sitting down, facing forward.
This boy weighs 245.

There was an article on MSN or Yahoo a week or so ago with "large" pets. One was a Bull Mastiff weighing 385 pounds, and not overweight. Another was a Great Dane drinking from a water purifier faucet on a kitchen sink and he wasn't stretching or with his front paws on the counter, just standing flat footed, drinking from a faucet on the back of the sink!

I didn't know that Patty Duke was bipolar. Ironic, considering the premise of the Patty Duke Show. :?:

Yes, she was ill for many years and no one knew. In her book, she said she made a lot of apologies after she was better, including to her children. Apparently she left a lot of wreckage and felt the need to make amends. It is really quite sad.

oh lord, it WAS hell!!!!! if you're a psych nurse, you know,,,,,,,the end was the night I found her standing over my bed with a knife.

I had a triple lock installed on my door that night and slept with the TV in front of the door (DH worked nights, so I was alone),,,,,,

shudder. that's what put her in jail and they wouldn't let her out for 9 months,,,,,

but it's like night and day since she got treatment and takes her meds,,,,,,as mean as it sounds (she's an adult now) it's our rule for living here,,,,,,no meds, no living here. I was so grateful that DH made that rule,,,,,

That IS scary. I don't blame you, they can be very unpredictable when they are off their meds. Schizophrenics scare me more than bipolars do. A lot of our patients get off their meds b/c they can't afford them and the ones they can afford doesn't work for them.
Holly,I don't think your being mean at all. Having that rule protects all of you.

Yes it is. A true mentally ill patient I have sympathy for, they didn't ask for it nor did their families. When I have to deal with borderlines those I have no sympathy for. I admire the nurses who work them tremendously,I just can't do it. Borderlines used to be called Antisocial Personality disorders. Guess that's the best they could do medically to define sorriness

When I first got home from the hospital from giving birth to my daughter, my x-mother-in-law (who was there to supposedly help out with the newborn) attacked me with a knife. She'd been putting her meds in the potted plants. She was an alcoholic schizophrenic. That didn't work out too well.

taking a break,,,,,,,waiting for the dryer to ding,,,,,

omg, your MIL attacked you with a knife? shudder,,,,,,Hannah just stood there,,,,freaky. she said later she was trying to decide if she was going to kill me or herself,,,,,,and she couldn't do either, thank the good lord.

borderlines scare me too,,,,they told me Hannah might be borderline (it's so hard to diagnose childrern), but fortunately, it just didn't fit,,,,,the symptoms weren't quite there, so they dropped that and settled on bipolar.

the really sad part is how little decent mental health care we have,,,,,,,,it's just sad :(
