You may not want to do that. Personally, I find that different flavorings have different strengths. You may need a much higher percentage of one flavoring than the same flavor from a different manufacturer. If you use different flavorings, your nic level would be off. I don't mess with 100mg. 60mg is easy to handle, and not nearly so dangerous. 40% less dangerous, as a matter of fact. :)

I started with 60 too but the 100% is somewhat cheaper and you just have to be extra careful.

ah,,,,,so buying some 40 mg and some pg and vg might be better in that circumstance,,,,,,adding 20% flavor would give you a different nic level than adding 10% flavor,,,,,,,,,,,,right???

That is correct, Holly. It also gives you the ability to make the juice exactly the way you like it. You will have fun.

By the way, just so you know, Raven's taste buds are shot.

 poor Raven!!

ok, playing with the calculator, I can see how it would be better to get the 40 or 60 mg nic juice,,,,thanks for that tip! then I could make 6mg for me,,,,,and 12 for DD if I wanted,,,,,and different strengths for different times of the day,,,this is cool.

Now you're cookin' with gas!

Holly, if you can follow a recipe and bake a cake or make a loaf of bread you can DIY. While 100mg nicotine is certainly more dangerous to handle than 40mg, if you are reasonably cautious and work in a WELL ventilated area there should be no problem. I think it's really no more dangerous than pumping your own gas, you know the dangers, use caution and act accordingly. The same thing applies here with DIY. 1stOfficer nudged me into it and now I never worry about running out of liquids and I use 100mg nicotine. My first try was with 40mg nicotine and I ran out far too quickly which pushed me toward 100mg. Trust me, if I can do it, anyone can do it, and do it safely, without a problem.

No comment about Raven's taste..........................buds.

I always use 60 in my mixing; it's kind of a compromise between safety and savings.

I think this is what I've decided to do,,,,,,but I can't figure out to order it all PG, all VG or some mix??? does it matter? I want to wind UP with 70PG/30VG, but will be buying VG and PG to add,,,,,

flavors are PG based, is my understanding,,,,so my PG levels will go up a bit once I add the flavoring,,,,,,one reason I am considering 60/40, because I usually vape 70/30, so it would bring me close to that,,,,,doesn't have to be EXACT.

Holly, one lesson I learned off the bat is that nic is a little more potent when it's fresh - so whatever you do, order a little extra PG (unless you wanna pay double on shipping, like me). And flavoring doesn't really affect the ratio all that much, so don't even worry about it. Have fun! :p

The trick I used, Holly, was to guesstimate about how much liquid I used in a month. I then plugged that into ScubaDan's calculator and set the mixture for 70/30 and 60mg nicotine, in your case. It told me how much PG, VG, nicotine and flavor (based on 10% flavoring) to buy for a months worth of liquid. You can adjust the PG/VG ratio to whatever suits your fancy and the same with the nicotine and flavor levels. The point is to figure out how much of what to buy and how often you'll need it. Given the relatively low levels of flavor used it doesn't affect the overall PG/VG ratio significantly.
