which vender is this, Moonstruck? (sorry, so not vendor loyal when it comes to juices either,,,,,I'll try anything once!)

I didn't know if it would be bad etiquette to mention the supplier on SI's forum. Guess they'll delete this message if it's in bad form. The supplier is quicknicjuice.com. I thought the sampler price was pretty decent, too. $9.99 for 4 5ml bottles, and you get to pick the flavors you want to try. Today I ordered 2 more samplers, and 2 more bottles of watermelon since it's still on sale. :D

Can you vape that? :D

I guess you could, but oil is bad for your lungs. I still have a 55 gallon drum so if you're interested...

I have a tablet with Nook on it. Tablets, at least to me as a former Network Administrator/heavy computer user/computer geek/current computer user, are just "not yet ready for prime time". Too slow and too limited, besides typing with a stylus or a finger is just too slow and painfuleven with "word anticipation". The Nook thing is nice, but a tablet is heavier than a book and you can't pop in a post-it to bookmark something you might want to refer back to. The other thing is I can't share books on it with my sister, she's computer illiterate and we swap books all the time, in fact she got me into reading when I was five.

I DIY now and have a small collection of flavors, most in the tobacco range. I like them for the flavor and because they don't get "ugly" at the bottom of a clearo or a CE3. RY4 does because of the higher sugar content and that is my "big" exception. I've tried fruity flavors and they're OK to me, but I can't deal with them all day. I do want to try some coffee flavors since they do resemble tobacco flavors as well. One of these days I'll put together a list of the ones I don't like and either trade or give them away. One other thing I've noticed is that when I find a flavor I like and order a bigger bottle, I seem to immediately find another I like even more and get left in a quandry about what to vape. Oh the complications of vaping.....

That's a guess, so let me know if I was right :)

Nope. Sounded good tho. I guess vape alot.
Or, because its small its not really alot - because it is in the tube more up and down instead of wide. And clearos hold more and I was use to those.
I think I like this nano. I will order a couple more. :)

Oh well, it sounded good in theory at least. The way the air tube is built, being large for such a big proportion of its length, really does limit the amount of liquid it can hold and will tend to make liquid consumption appear faster because of the reduced capacity around that larger portion as the liquid gets down to it. I'm sticking to the CE3, at least it can be taken apart and cleaned if needed.

Agree about not being able to give the books to people. I'll be reading a book and want to give it to someone to read, but with the e-books you can't share. Certain books you can lend for 2 weeks to someone but they have to have the same app - I think Nook does that. But then again - ebooks are really cheap, so you give up one thing for another.

Yes, Kico, I have a 900,,,,,I'd' probably get 9 hours of it if I vaped like a normal person instead of a maniac

next time,,,,,,,,1300! maybe I'll get 9 hours out of it

It's simple. Just keep your backups handy and swap batteries. Check this out. Got this baby today in the mail. I finally am looking like I might know what I'm doing.

You can also check out books for your Kindle from most public libraries free. Opens up a whole new world. Can't remember the name of the site that lists them and tells you how but Google is your friend.

This is the site for the software for the device (if the device is supported) - kindle, ipod, tablet, etc. OverDrive – OverDrive Media Console
You have to have a library account (card) and they have to participate. Contact the library in your city and ask them. Or go to their web site. If they participate they'll help.

For you parents reachin' for the wallet ... Mom helped us out quite a bit when hubby was very sick (2.5 yrs snoozin 18 hrs / day). Never mind my broken ankle during that time. 70 yrs old and bringing meals to my house ... No kids here - at the time one 10 yr old foster boy.
I figure all the frustration and headache of tryin' to live with her and bro is "payback" ... so hopefully the kids will remember and "be there" for you when you need the help ....

I know. Been there, done that, too......passing on the help as my mother helped (still does) me. That's what we're here for I think.....each other.

Oh, we'll figure a way to clean the Nano somehow. We always do. :)

YAHOO Sandy !!! "COWGIRL UP !!! I knew you would though. Won't be long until you'll be back in the saddle.
Maybe this will give you a grin-- I was late signing on this morning b/c I decided that I would try to mount the "dummy horse". My pelvic liter froze not even a fourth of the way on that barrel. I don't know how long I was stuck in that position but long enough for my left leg to get pretty tired and my right hip joint to start acting like it wanted to cramp. I finally got off the thing by leaning backwards and manually lifting my right leg forward.
Tomorrow I'm going to Cowgirl up myself and try it again, this time AFTER I do some stretching and aerobics.

Congratulations for trying. Last night, a friend phoned to see how I'm doing, and she suggested cold laser therapy. She said a friend broke her ankle, had it fused, and had very limited range of motion till she got this treatment. Now she can move it a lot more. Today, I go to get the staples taken out of my arm, and I'll ask the doctor what he thinks. Next week is my first physical therapy appointment.

One thing I worry about is fear rising up when I go to take Penny out of the pasture. That's months away, so no real need to even think about it, but I do.

My stepmother, who's more like a big sister, came to stay with us till I have full use of my hand, and yesterday, we went to the Johnson Museum in Ithaca. I love that building, designed by I. M. Pei. I didn't have the oomph to do the last 2 floors -- it's a small museum, so I can usually do it all in one visit -- but the view of the fall foliage and Cayuga Lake from the expansive windows on the 5th floor was breathtaking.

Oh how cool is that! Do you do lessons over the 'net? The more I read the dumber I get! Lots of stuff wish I'd known about as a kid ... suspect many a spill would have been avoided (a dummy to take the first rides) ...

You can't really take riding lessons over the net. You need an instructor to be on the spot, seeing you ride and correcting things as they happen. Be sure to choose a good instructor, though -- and that's hard if you don't know what's good and what's bad. Are there other, more experienced horse people in your area who could recommend someone? My advice is to start leaning English. It's harder to stay in the saddle than Western, and it makes you cultivate that all-important balance. You want to get an independent seat, which means that you don't use the reins as a handle, just to guide the horse. Longe lessons are good for that, since someone else controls the horse and you can try no hands or hold on as you need to. If you don't want to start out in an English saddle, riding bareback will help your balance a lot. Learn to post the trot. Even if you ride Western and sit the trot most of the time, it's a good skill to have and can come in handy if you ride a horse at a really fast, bouncy trot.

Good luck with finding lessons. I think riding is one of those things that you can always get better at, so no matter how experienced you are, lessons will help you get better. Someone once asked me, "How come you take lessons? Don't you know how to ride by now?" That just showed how little she knew about riding. There's always more to learn. Remember that the journey is the interesting part, not the destination.

Meant to say - boy do I hear you on that one!

Also - the Kindle Nation newsletter I get ... well just had to share this with the readers ... I just bought my second ebook:
Twelve Months: Steven Manchester: Amazon.com: Kindle Store

Here's the link to Kindle Nation - where you can also enter to win a free kindle fire HD ...
Kindle Fire HD Giveaway Sweepstakes

I do have over 400 to read from the freebies (and haven't looked at the offerings for a few months!) but this one sounds like a must read for all. What would you do if you only had 12 months? I've a hunch it will help me keep perspective w/ mom & hubby.
So, I figured for less than $5 I couldn't go wrong ...

On tablets - Asus 10.? is one that's been recommended ($400?) are they worth it or is the Kindle Fire sufficient? While I've heard all phone company's are pushing Smartphones and trying to eliminate the smaller flip phones - I when it comes to actual phone function I think I prefer the flip w/ the super fast ease of speed dial to the "Not-so-Smart" phone! (Mine had a labotomy in Aug - not a pretty picture!) :D

Thank you, kico, for those two links! :) I didn't know about Kindle Nation Daily (and no, I don't live on the Moon) and I'm going to buy that book. I try not to spend a lot on books since I read so many. Last night I bought 6 books for a total of $14.94. I found out something last night....when I tried to buy a book I had already bought a while back, Amazon didn't take the order and a notification came up telling me the date I bought the book and that I could download it again if it had been deleted from my Kindle. Nice feature for we absent-minded readers.

I hadn't heard that about phone companies pushing to eliminate small flip phones. Mine is small, but doesn't even flip. I have a very basic Nokia that I just carry for possible emergencies on the road. Being retired makes a big difference in your phone needs. Plus I don't like to chat on the phone when I'm out and about. And in this pre-election period my home phones are in danger of destruction. I need to lock up all the hammers. :D

Good Morning Volties!!

Thanks for the coffee Awsum! :)

Marlou - I know exactly what you're saying about home phones being in danger of destruction during this pre-election period. If Mitt Romney calls me one more time, I'm going to file a police report for stalking. Just kidding, but I'm really tired of hearing from his campaign crew.

Good Morning, Volties. Thanks for the coffee. I can't function until I have my coffee in the morning.

Yeah, Mitt Romney is stalking me too. Let it go, Romney. Even my staunch Republican husband is secretly having second thoughts about voting for you. How bad is that? At least around our house we can have nice discussions about politics. Politicians come and go but we always have each other:)

I'm thinking about DIY after all this talk. I'm going to try to go to the SI DIY thread over the weekend and see what is there.

Hubby got the walls framed and the wallboards up for the shed. All the rafters are up. He is threatening to get the roof boards on today while I am gone cleaning a house. YeeHawww!!!! Might have this done enough to get wood stacked into it before winter. If he gets the roof boards on, it will be 75 degrees this Saturday and I could get the tar on the roof which would be a good thing. I can't really shingle until early summer since the weather is turning cold but the tar will protect the roof boards over the winter.

I hope that everyone is continuing to heal up nicely.

I love real books:)

Have great day, Volties.

Sometimes I envy you folks in the "swing states". Living in a state with a "set in stone" voting record is politically boring and we never get to see the national candidates in person. When the outcome is preordained, they don't even bother to advertise and we're stuck with local candidates only, no star power at all.
