Good Morning Awsum and the all other Volties.
Good morning Volties! Coffee is on so help youselves.
The wind has picked up and so has the rain. It's still too dark out to tell just how bad things are but I think it's nothing serious, at least so far. The barometer has dropped from 29.79 yesterday to 29.21 this morning and is still dropping. I wonder how low it'll go when the storm passes overhead? It's kind of cool, too, about 50 and won't get to 60 today. May actually have to run the heat today, what a bummer.

Virginia will be closed until further notice. Went out and got propane for the generator pellets for the stove. When I got home the power was off as was the internet so I am down to my droid razr and the the trusty Generac for power this screen is killing my old eyes so I'll talk to you Guy's when Sandy leaves. Look out Awsum she's headed your way. Everyone be safe...
) flight out of Philadelphia on Thursday night . . . Morin' . . . Still trying to wake-up and having coffee . . . .
First, I want to say - THANKS to everyone for their comments . . .
Well having been though these thing before - I knew better, but I was hoping that with all the "media hype" I am use to hearing in Florida - I would be able to get out before "Sandy" came to visit . . . Well I made the decission last night to change my travel plans after I "heard" how far the outer bands reached . . .
LONG STORY SHORT - after being disconnected at least 20+ x's calling US Airway on their regular number for four hours, I finally got an automated call from the Airline that my flight was being canceled and they gave me another number to call to change my reservation . . . WOW ! ! ! only a 4 minute wait and finally got a reservation agent . . . So I am staying with a Friend and her son in NYC till Wednesday (then to New Hope for the night) and have a "CONFIRMED"lol:

) flight out of Philadelphia on Thursday night . . .
The REALLY GOOD THING is since I have been though these storms before I can help her out here . . . We have almost everything ready and what we need - however since I am now staying here, I have one quick shopping trip (extra water/food) in a little bit and before "Sandy" really hits tonight . . . So - so far all is good . . . And as long as there is elect I will stay in contact (But from one of my friends in the know - I heard last night that the Mayor here is trying to get ConED to shut down "the grid" at 2 AM so it will be easier to restart the electricity - Don't really understand this - but what the hey who can understand what this mayor does most of the time . . .)
Okay - I can't remember off the top of my head (other than "awsum") who else is around these parts - but I hope you all have everything YOU NEED and are going to be safe too . . . Let's all stay in contact . . .![]()
It must be those dimples!
That/s another good thing about county living, there are always dead trees to cut or trees that need thinning outHi Lizzie! Glad to hear that Little Penny Poo Poo is doing okay. It may take some time to get used to those anti-seizures meds. I've been on two of them for quite a while, and I still wobble like a Weeble.
Now you've got me thinkin' about a wood stove. I have a fireplace which has saved my carcass more than once. When the old white oak, Grandpa fell a few years back, it was 13 degrees outside. We had no power for 10 days if I remember right. I worshiped that fireplace. My son is thinking about building a rocket stove into his house. We certainly have the available wood for a standard wood stove or a rocket stove. Looking at the bill every time I get a propane fill scares the bejeebers outta me.

Just for the record anything that happens here is between consenting adults (anybody know what the age of consent is for Sheep?) and the sheep was here when I came to this morning so my guess is she was a party crasher, you know sheep are notorious for that around here!! As far as the lap dancing I do what ever It takes to keep the Little woman happy (she can be a little bit of a freak) No harm no foul! Awesum, Fishnets are not allowed around here because we run a upstanding joint, you should be ashamed, that's just disgusting! All I want to know is who put these fur lined handcuffs on me? those things are hard to type with, anyone got a handcuff key, I need to get to church sometime today. Raynes please do call 1-800- save a sheep because the last time this happened we ended up having to trade the sheep to a local farmer for a stump trained cow and we don't have room for anymore cows. all I need now is a boot jack and a handcuff key and maybe some makeup remover, then I could get on the Harley and go home, I'm just glad these parties only happen once a week because it takes two or three days for the welts from the riding crops to go down.![]()
Naw - I beg to differ on that one. Men are sexiest when they're caring for something helpless. Think baby or injured animal. Just sayin'.
Good to hear that you're hunkered down and safe, my friend! Blues is in the line of fire out in the sticks in PA. I hope all of you keep us posted, okay?![]()
Hang in there Uncle, Bluesman and all the others who are in the path of the storm.
Naw - I beg to differ on that one. Men are sexiest when they're caring for something helpless. Think baby or injured animal. Just sayin'.
THANKS . . .
HEY - "Blues" YOU STAY SAFE ! ! ! Too . . . Especially since "We" don't want "You" to get into trouble or give "Rave" anything to worry about either . . .![]()
