You changed your avatar and i can't find you easy....

HA - That's the point of changing it every so often (and of course for the holidays too) . . . ;)

Hahaha!

My basic kit is very small with a big knife. But it's always good to have extra items to make your life easy.

Where are you?

Well although I don't really know how to use it to well - but well enough to hurt/kill if need be - I do have a Small 22 (Again in FLORIDA :() . . .:)

I'm in the GREAT BIG CITY - NYC . . . :D

I thought you were in Philly, Uncle, not the Big Apple. Heck, they shut down NYC before Philly shut down.

Besides all the food, water and tons of toliet paper, there are a few firearms and lots of ammo hanging around, too. Knives are OK, but it's always better to bring a gun to a knife fight!

Barometer is down to 28.19 and dropping very quickly now, like about an inch since I got up at six this morning. The storm center is about 250 miles from me at the moment. The wind is picking up and getting steadier, gusting about 40 or 50 and steady at about 20. The rain isn't too bad and probably won't get as bad as initially expected for us. The storm appears to be staying further south but IS growing stronger, higher winds and lower central pressure, which is unusual for a hurricane this late in the season and this close to shore.

YEA - It is a little confusing . . . Since I lived in most of these places and have friends & family that live here too . . . I fly into Philly - go to New Hope for a few days - then to NYC for the weekend - Back to New Hope a couple of more days - then Fly out of Philly . . . Less expensive that way and I get to see most of "My" friends from Philly up to NYC (including Jersey) and back . . . :D

Even though I am a pacifist at heart and normally wouldn't even consider using a gun - I couldn't agree with Your "Gun" Statement more . . . :D

Why the hell would someone need a gun? Ever wondered how the rest of the world works? :p
Besides, 22cal bounces of my useless body right away.
NYC is nice!!

Yep - I agree NYC is Nice . . . But never been in the City for a Hurricane - Nor' Easter's/Blizzards/Ice Storms - YES ! ! ! :D

Only time I was around for Hurricane (beside Florida and the Caribbean Islands) in the North was when I lived in New Jersey/PA . . . :)

Kontantine, the 22 is the preferred "hit" gun. High velocity, low noise (easily suppressed), low recoil and good penetration and fragmentation. For it to "bounce" you better be wearing body armor or have skin like about 12 or 16 guage high tensil steel. My preference is a .357 or 9mm, but a .44 works really well too! Remember, Ronald Reagan was almost killed by a .22 and James Brady was terribly wounded by that same gun.

A BIG SURPRISE COMING ! ! ! :D

Actually, I really wish "YOU ALL" could be with "Me" here in the "BIG APPLE" . . . :)

Although I do not drink alcohol as much anymore, "We" could have a "Hurricane" Party like they do in Key West . . .

I guess Officer's internet died really early today, he hasn't been around. According to local weather, and a friend in VA near where he lives, they're expceting snow in the higher elevations down there from this storm, as in one to two feet of heavy, wet snow!

I heard the same thing here about a couple of people I know in his area too . . .

Hey - Thanks for checkin' in Officer. I go into worry mode. Poor Blues is having more trouble with me than with Sandy. Do you still have power? BTW - I've got the Dali Lama on speed dial.
