Raynes dear, you really must give "dummy" a name. She's an important part of the training team - she simply must be smarter than a dummy! Monty Roberts calls his 'girl' "Heidi"! Snoozing out in the pasture! OMGosh! I always wanted too! Too chicken to try it tho!Soooo - how did the 'dummy' do????
Depends on which one your talking about.LOL We did OK. Kola couldn't figure out what "dummy" was doing on her back. She never took off running or bucking until I started lounging her but she settled in after a few rounds around the pen. I just mainly wanted to see how she would react and if I could get "dummy" on her by myself since I had put some sand in it.
Zanne is doing much better with her not rearing. I can back her now with hand pressure and her not think I'm trying to push her around.
She'll follow me around the round pen like a horse following the lead mare which is what I want but I still don't totally trust her. I carry a lariat so if she starts to crowd I can flick it at her feet to keep her head down. For her these a big steps.
I slept out in the pasture with her again last night and woke with her laying beside me with her head on my back,I feel comfortable doing that and she is protective of me but training with her is quite a different story,if she feels like she is being pushed or threatened she's in fight mode even with me ,so I have to do a lot of advance and retreating.She's a challenge and I live for challenges.

Hubby always mentions going to the movie w/ a dime. Way to go Holly! I saved a bunch too! I ordered 4 pkg of sampler cartos for loaning out my seldom used 78's ... have one chompin' at the bit so to speak ... gave the SI website link; ECF & SI here and suggested she start reading a bit and watching the video's at SI and give me a few days to get the loaner set to her! SI is fast in shipping! I suspect it will be here by Monday ... Often Saturday orders are in the mailbox on Mon!

I was on the SI website minutes after midnight. Got a new rainbow 650 auto, a bunch of nano's and some of the new flavors. Of course I also got TWO bottles of RY4.. 12 and 6mg. Saved $20... got free shipping... but they are MINE! ALL MINE!!!
I got a red manual 1300 for myself,,,,,,,I can't wait til Christmas LOL.
I didn't think I liked the manuals, til I started using this one I got in the contest,,,It's growing on me LOL,,,so I will have a 900 auto and a 1300 manual,,,,I'll use the autos for driving, etc,,,,,,and the manual for at home,,,,,,
