He wanted me to tell all the people at Voltville that he thanks them for their thoughts and friendship. It does mean a lot to him.

Rave, thank you for letting us know how Blues is doing. It takes a while to get back on your feet after by-pass surgery. I am hoping and praying that his recovery goes well and as quickly as possible. Take care of yourself....you must be exhausted from the waiting, the worry, and not being able to be there. I know you're strong, but still, you take care of yourself.

Thanks Marlou. I take care of myself the best I can. Not a whole heckuva lot I can do.

Rave, thanks for giving us the update. I was wondering all yesterday how it went. I'm sorry to hear there were complications, but they sound like they're under control. I, for one, will keep sending vibes to Blues. Please keep us updated as much as you can. I know it's hard for you from afar. Why can't you be there with him?

He wouldn't let me come. He knows what kind of shape I'm in. I shouldn't even be risking driving to the store which is only a twenty minute drive one way. 660 miles would be rough, but I still would've gone if he'd let me. I'm that stubborn.

Don't freak out, Rave; just hold firm. I'm sure you're familiar with that. When the time is ripe, you'll go out and see him for yourself; by then, you should be doing a little better, as well. It sucks getting only second-hand info about someone important to you. Do whatever lets you relax a little. (We're always here, for entertainment and distraction purposes, if nothing else.) Good wishes and prayers for Blues.

It's just so frustrating. I actually cleaned a closet today to distract myself. That's getting a little desperate (for me). I don't like cleaning anything - let alone a closet. I just want to be at his side where I belong.

Uncle - thank you so much for your post. That really cheered me up. Loved the pictures.

Thank you everyone!!! I'll keep you posted with any new developments.

Driving while being in an emotional state is dangerous. Please let someone else do the driving. I know from experience!
Please keep us posted. My thoughts are with you.

I'm so sorry to hear you're still not well. I'm sending vibes to Blues, of course, but you get some, too. Keeping busy is a good distraction. And your closets will be better for it. Keep your spirits up. If we can help in any way, call on us.

Question though... i thought dry burns were bad?

Dry-burning is a part of the cleaning process that some people do, with hopes of zapping away some of that stubborn burnt-up crusty carbon crud that forms on the coil. Sometimes you get lucky with that; other times you end up burning filler or disintegrating the wick. So sometimes good, sometimes bad. I occasionally do it on a carto, but not something I would recommend as it's pretty easy to burn the filler. Wouldn't recommend it on a Nano either, for the same reason.

I have both manual and auto batteries. I'm also digging the pass thru. I have 3 now. One at the computer, at my living room chair, and in my work truck. I don't have to worry about my battery life when I use those.

Wondering if the T3's will work on the pass thru?
Imagine mentioned on another thread that this batch of T3s doesn't work on the skinny batts, but they're working to see if they can be made to in the future.

Rave, I wish I were there with you...or that you were here with me, cleaning MY closet!
Seriously though...we would so be on the road right now...

I have a couple of X2's 900mah right now just itching to have the mail lady deliver the T3's I ordered. I bought a couple more X2's at 1000mah to accommodate the T3's. I was hoping they'd fit the pass thrus so I wouldn't have to use my X2's.

Question - if your battery starts to go kaput, does the pass thru option still work fine on the X2's?

Over here on the west coast of michigan the wind is howling like crazy making it feel cold as anything, but only about an inch+ of snow.
And here I am in two sweaters, gloves, wool socks and a faux fur coat because it's 55 degreesF in here right now...
BRRRRR!

I'm guessing no, because even when you use the X2 as a passthrough, you're still vaping off the battery. The X2 passthrough option just gives you a way to use it while it's charging. Doesn't work the same as the true passthrough, which doesn't have an internal battery. But you shouldn't have to worry about that for a long time. I didn't lose my first 78mm until after 11+ months, and I don't expect the X2s to be any different.

Well if the battery goes, doesn't that just mean it wont hold a charge? you should still be able to draw power throught it though right?

Someone needs to test this.

i understand if you short it out it fries any power capability, but I would assume if you just run out of charging cycles, it would still work.
I assume it's like a phone, i have many that the battery is dead on, but if i plug them in, and keep them plugged in, i can still use them for contacts.

Element - So glad you got your supplies!~!!! Vape on!!!

Ah, Bluesman, get well Buddy. We have a soft spot in our hearts for you.

Raven - Keep up the good work. Cleaning closets is a great activity where in you get something done while you are worrying:) Seriously, take good care of yourself.

Finally home, got my afternoon cup of coffee. Time to relax.

So, I am determined to stay on budget but...I go to the vet to pick up Penny's pills and the bill is $84. Okay, it is two kinds of pills [phenobarbitol and potassium bromide] and it is two months worth but, geez, they told me it would be inexpensive to get the meds and that certainly didn't feel inexpensive. Of course, Penny is worth it and she hasn't had any seizures since she got on the meds about two months ago.

Then I went to get the buy one turkey get one free deal and turkeys were $30 apiece. That is $1.59 per pound. Again, I am not sure that's a deal but at 80 cents a pound total that is not a bad price. Still, it wasn't too long ago that turkey was 50 cents a pound and you got one for $5 or $7 when you bought $25 worth of groceries.

Oh well, I guess the new prices are just so high that I can't consider anything to be cheap anymore:) How come we are in a recession but everything I buy costs more than it used to?????

On a brighter shopping note, I may be able to get a harness for a great price from my little buddy Maggie who is a nice older lady that has 4 minis. And maybe a bridle as well. I am going to get together with her after Christmas. I saw her at the grocery store.

I am thinking the same way as you Element, but I have brand new batteries so I won't be able to test it. I do have the regular power pass thru device and it's much cheaper than the expensive V2 power cig that I bought. <How I wish I had found this forum before I made my first purchase!> I'm curious to see if this works. It might be set up that when the battery is dead, no current will pass through it for safety purposes.

Lizzie - I feel your dog's pain. I had a Min Pin that was an epileptic 6 of her 11 years. I was spending upwards to $250.00 a month for her meds. She was a chronic epi, having multiples a month. If Penny gets worse, you can try Keppra. Bad thing about that med is that it has a short half life and you have to give it to your dog every 8 hours. And it has to be compounded. It might be in a pill form now, but my dog was 7 pounds and there wasn't a pill small enough for her. Of course there might be newer meds out there as this was over 6 years ago when I was purchasing it.

Hugs to Penny!

Lizzie, I'm convinced I went through some kind of worm hole or time warp every time I go to the grocery store, like I did today, or the gas station. Money just ain't what it was any more.
