Sitting down, facing forward.
Boy, did we overdo it yesterday with all the good foods, noshies, turkey, ravioli, meatballs, mashed potatoes, stuffing, garlic/mozzarella bread and enough different desserts to give everyone insulin shock. Spent the morning feeling like I lost a major fight with three or four MMA guys. Now I'm sipping some tea watching the rain that Rave got as snow. If someone gives you a free copy of Windows 8 on CD use it for a coaster. Win 8 is actually smartphone for your PC, so if you want a smartphone buy that, if you want a PC don't use Windows 8!

Koni, glad to hear you're making some progress forward. I loved working on high power systems, never got to fool on transmission stuff, but did a lot with major inverter systems and major control systems for DC power control on the NY City Subway, years ago. They still run the subways on DC which is kind of mind boggling to me anyway. Keep plugging away, progress will come.

I thought I had my son converted to vaping, but I guess not. I let him try my iTaste yesterday with SI RY4 on a T# and he almost coughed a lung up. I'd sure like to get him off tobacco, and maybe nicotine as well, with his heart/blood pressure problems, but I know, as we all do, how hard that can be to actually do until you're really ready to do it.

Great to hear Blues I making good progress. Say Hi to him from all of us, Rave, if you do get to talk to him.

Well, it was a wonderful Christmas for me, had so much fun with my Grandson! I don't get to see him nearly enough, he is kind of shy each time we do visit, but he warmed up quickly this time! We danced, we sang, we got silly and played on the floor! :) My son called me to tell me that back at home, bedtime, he was still talking about things he did at my house, called me Grandma Friend. Even after the lights were out and he was tucked into bed they could hear him talking over the monitor about his day here. Awwww! Definitely feeling the creaking bones now though, what a work out! Worth every ache, I am so thankful. Good times!

Hoping everyone is safe and warm, if you are in the path of the snowstorm, please take care, especially if you have to be out in it. It is snowing like crazy here, not too windy though. The birds are emptying the feeders with record speed, kinda makes me wonder if they know something we don't.

Wonderful to see you posting more Rave....have fun in the snow! Glad to 'hear' that Blues is making good progress, continued healing vibes to the both of you.

Good Morning Volties!

I hope to be able to talk with Blues today and I'm so excited!!!!! View attachment 163730

Maybe I shouldn't get my hopes up, but the doc said he'd release Blues from his monitor if all keeps going well. He's been doing his physical therapy, and it's tiring. Knowing him, he'll be back up and running in no time flat. The trick is going to be getting him to take it slow and easy.

So ---- I'm in the middle of a literal blizzard here. We got the official blizzard warning yesterday so we were able to prepare a bit. Unfortunately, blizzards have a tendency to cause all kinds of emergencies, so my son is out working in this mess. I've heard that we may get 15" of snow with 35-40 mph winds before all is said and done. I just took some pictures through the windows. After I download them from my camera, I'll put them up.

Hope everyone is safe from the tornado outbreak caused by Winter Storm Euclid down south. Raynes? Everything okay in your neck of the woods? 19 tornadoes yesterday! The largest Christmas tornado outbreak in history. Not good. :(

We are OK here, Rave. Thanks for asking. If you go sledding PLEASE dress warm. For all of you that got snow and wanted it I'm DELIGHTED for you and PLEASE keep it. Don't send it this way. Here in the deep south we are allergic to the stuff. Not to mention I have to work tonight and don't want to get stuck at the hospital.
We went from upper 50 degrees to down in the 20's over night. I'm about to freeze, seems like my internal thermostat hasn't kick started yet.
WONDERFUL news about Blues !!! So hope you two get to talk today Rave and I'm glad to see that you are feeling better !!

Glad to hear you weren't blown away by a tornado! I was sure thinking about you when I watched what a mess it was down south.

Oh yes - I am feeling sooo much better! Thank you.

I got one email directly from Blues today. He said that the weather was playing havoc with the internet at the hospital. But, he did say, and I quote:

"Please tell them I have a lot of reading through the thread and I will be posting a greeting from the Christmas Cardiac Ward."

It was so good to hear from him directly! *HUGE cheesey smile* :)

cindy, if you ask, I'd think they would ship a pre-addressed, pre-stamped mailing envelope with your replacement battery (since the mix-up isn't your fault). If they balk, sic Imagine on them.:D

No balking - no begging, no arguing, no compromising, no "Imagine Card" needed. I opened up a ticket and Rockstar Heather quickly fixed it waaay better than I could've ever hoped for. SI CS is truly THE BEST THERE IS! :p

OH No - South Street BAD ! ! ! :(

GINO's (Very Little Grease) or PAT'S (Grease) - ARE MUCH BETTER ! ! ! :D
(Use to Live on South 10th across the park for a couple of years . . .;))

AND - As a previous "Philadelphian" - "You" should know that . . . ;)

Personally - GINO's With - Extra of course, and Provolone too w/side of fries . . . :D

BTW: Prices have really gone up ! ! ! :(

Pat's is no better than any other place, at least last I tried it. I don't think I've been to Gino's. The place I went today is Steve's at 7th and South. Not the best, but not bad, either, and it was convenient to where I was headed. Unfortunately, we found a parking place right on South St. It said 2 hr. parking, and that was enough time, but little did I realize that they no longer have meters, but you have to pay at a kiosk, so I got a ticket. Sigh! I guess into every life, some parking tickets have to fall.

May favorite thing on South St. is the Magic Garden. Didn't I post some pictures of that a while ago? It's a fantastic place. Very wacky and fun. We didn't go today. The weather was sort of iffy, and we got our visit down there done quickly so we could get back to my brother's before dark and freezing temps.

We go home tomorrow, and it looks like we'll be facing some snow. I'd appreciate vibes for our trip to be reasonably easy, not a nightmare going through the Poconos or even north of there, where sometimes it can be even worse.

Oh, don't worry. I'm not crazy enough to drive anywhere. Walking will be sufficient for me.

But you - Any way that you can delay your trip home? Please be careful if you can't put it off. It looks like a wicked mess north of where you are now!

Okay,

Y'all made me so hungry with your talk of Philly cheesesteak.

Kon - I am glad to hear you are back to work.

Cindycated - SI customer service is top notch.

Raven - Wonderful to hear from Blues. And you definitely have a winter wonderland going there. Very pretty.

I'm finally home. It was slick on the roads this morning but my 4runner did great in the snow. Yeah!!!!

The roads were pretty much thawed out by this afternoon but i decided I needed to go to Carson City to buy some dogfood, some items that needed stocking up and my brand new organizer from the hardware department that will be perfect for my juices. That was my bonus money/Xmas Christmas tip I spent for that.

Of course, then the animals had to be fed, the wood stove emptied out of ashes and the 4 runner had to be unloaded. Sure seemed like a looonnnggg day:) I still haven't gotten all the groceries put away but I think I have the cold stuff in the fridge. I hope so, anyway.

Now, for a toasty fire and a nice cup of coffee:)

Good morning, Volties. It is the .... crack of dawn. Cafe Verona , a nice medium roast coffee and oatmeal raisin cookies this morning:)

The snow is only a couple of inches deep but Hubby says the roads are slicker than snot. The little horsey is waiting to be fed but I don't think he looks cold. I definitely have to leave a half an hour early to get to my job on time.

good morning renolizzie....hope your not working to hard....and you had a lovely christmas
