yes joann...wouldn't it be nice....to have a happy medium....I guess we"d all be bored if it was purrrrfect weather all the time...im sure if I felt how cold it gets on the other side I would be wanting to get warm....our winters are great here...I hardly ever wear a warm coat.....but I hate wearing clothes in summer...so I hide out lots in summer.....crazy hey.....

I had a nice day, Deb. I got done about 30 minutes early even though I shoveled the snow off the client's sidewalk and got the snow off his car, too. He had back surgery awhile ago and I was worried aoubt him falling and getting hurt.

I have home made Ry4 and vanilla cupcake, home made english tobacco english toffee going in the T-3's. Yummy.

Glad to hear you weren't blown away by a tornado! I was sure thinking about you when I watched what a mess it was down south.

Oh yes - I am feeling sooo much better! Thank you.

I got one email directly from Blues today. He said that the weather was playing havoc with the internet at the hospital. But, he did say, and I quote:

"Please tell them I have a lot of reading through the thread and I will be posting a greeting from the Christmas Cardiac Ward."

It was so good to hear from him directly! *HUGE cheesey smile* :)

Great news Rave!! So happy that you and Blues are getting better. Nothing like hearing from him directly. Tell him we would like to hear from him before he plays catchup in the thread. He'll definitely have a lot of reading to do.

My internet & cable connection has also been dicey today. :(

I like the clearos but I think I love the T3's.

You haven't seen cold until you have pogonip at zero and below temps. Pogonip is fog but the temps are incredibly cold.

Don't worry if you need some help on DIY, we can help you.

It gets even colder the further north you go. I'm in the midatlantic region and the temp can really plummet. We really haven't seen extreme cold yet. How cold does it get there in winter?

about 9ish in Celsius ....not sure what that is on your scale....

YAHOO I'm so glad that you two got to chat !!! That just made my Christmas complete !! I'm glad that you are feeling better and itching to get out there in the snow and play, BRRRRR.

Welllll .... I didn't really get to chat with Blues. The $#%@!& internet at the hospital was hinky. He got one email off to me. I got all giddy as a schoolgirl and quickly wrote back. He never even got to read it according to his friend. That's just so not fair. I'm guessing that he was fit to be tied.

*sigh*

Well, I hope everyone else is doing okay with the storm. It finally stopped here. It kept going until roughly 7 p.m. Maybe tomorrow I'll go out and look for tracks and make snow angels and play with Lexi. She likes to eat the snow and run in it. We ended up with about 12" total, I think. It's kinda hard to tell because the wind didn't allow it to stay level. Stay warm everyone. Except you, Debra. Think cool thoughts! :)

Oh, don't worry. I'm not crazy enough to drive anywhere. Walking will be sufficient for me.

But you - Any way that you can delay your trip home? Please be careful if you can't put it off. It looks like a wicked mess north of where you are now!

I've been watching the weather with trepidation. We do have AWD and studded snow tires, which will help. If we're lucky, the bulk of the storm will have passed by tomorrow late morning at least till we get up around the Endless Mountains or Binghamton. The worst is usually from Binghamton to about Richford, and then nearing Ithaca, it should be a bit better. I hope, anyway. Send vibes. We do have to get home tomorrow, since Bill is scheduled to work Friday.

I bet he was to. Computer connections at a hospital are bad even on a good day,it is with ours anyway, and everything is done with computers. Some days I'd like to throw everyone of them out the window. You'd think being hospitals they would have state of the art connections that were blazing fast.
You and Lexi have fun tomorrow playing in the snow. I hope you get to go sledding before it melts.

Usually not for long, just a couple of days. My least favorite season is summer,it gets really hot and humid not unlike your weather there.

I never heard of pogonip before. Neither has the spell check. I did see huge ice crystals covering everything once, and someone said that was freezing fog. I took lots of photos, it was so amazing.

Had to use the online converter to calculate.... 48.2 fahrenheit. I'm old school... don't do celsius...

That's the coldest??? Oh boy! You have it good!
In 40 degree weather I bet JoAnn and Sandy are running around in t-shirts thinking they are having a heat wave this time of yr.
