I personally would never turn the center post on either a battery or delivery device. In both cases there are wires attached that could be broken by turning them. They can be safely raised slightly, but turning may lead to damage.

Just my opinion, worth what you're paying for it. Your mileage may vary. No guaranty or warranty is expressed or implied.
I can't think of any good reasons to ever turn the post on the battery, but with cartos and such, there's a teeny tiny bit of play, and they were made to be adjusted that way (been window shopping at Alibaba supplier/manufacturer sites). Just don't go crazy and do a Linda Blair thing with them. The coil wires aren't soldered to the post; they're sandwiched in by a silicone grommet.

...not that it did that much good anyway. It helped a little, but still not quite there. Might have to scrounge for a carto tank next...

Welcome back Moonstruck.
We are still here as you can see :)
Glad to see you made it .
Some music for you Stuff - Live at Montreux '76 (1978) - YouTube

Thanks, Kon, I never heard of them, but I really like them. Some jazz I'm not fond of, because it sounds like it goes nowhere. I like my music with a sense of destination. Now, don't ask me what I mean. It's just something I hear without knowing enough to explain it. It's just sometimes jazz music seems to wander aimlessly, and sometimes it seems to be headed somewhere, and I like the kind that seems headed somewhere.

It's good to see you back on the forum, Moonstruck. You had more than your share of problems! Glad to see your computer's fixed.....hope you're feeling better too.

Here's hoping you get your Wizard Labs order soon. Having to vape liquid that tastes bad is the pits!!!

Thank you Marlou, and .........wooooohoooooo ... just got my WL mail. In less than 5 minutes, I whipped up 4 5-ml sample bottles of watermelon, canteloupe, juicy peach, and pear. I used the ejuicemeup calculator, but I didn't really need it except to figure out how much PG to add to my 36 mg nic solution to make 20 mg juice. I used 10% flavoring + 1 drop of EM. I was so desperate, I didn't wait for any kind of steeping, just filled one of my clearos with watermelon. I'm in heaven ... I've already been down on my knees to say thanks. :D

I now have the 4 bottles in a hot water bath, but fruits don't usually need much steeping time. I have to say, this watermelon is delishhhh!!!

We're home safe. Somehow, we managed to avoid any bad weather, and the roads were clear nearly all the way home. Just as I suspected, the roads were a little slushy, but salted and plowed, after Whitney Point nearly to Ithaca. That's a snow belt here, and weather is always iffy along that section of Rt. 79. In fact, that band of snowier weather is why they built a ski slope, Greek Peak, along it, though to the north from where we passed through it. Here in T-burg, there's about a foot of snow on the ground, and I had to shovel our front steps before we could unload stuff from the car and take it in. My cat, Tom, gave us the usual loud lecture about abandoning him for days, but he was just fine physically. And he has already calmed down about us deserting him. It was fun visiting, but I agree with Bill, who just said to me, "It's nice to be home."

YAY! I'm glad you had a safe trip! happydance.gif

Here's what it looks like. It's absolutely amazing. One winter day I went to the barn to visit Penny, and about halfway between my house and the barn, it started. The whole world was silver, all the trees, fences, etc. with what must have inspired tinsel on Christmas trees. I was blown away, and got my camera out and spent the next hour or so taking pictures. These are close-ups, because I thought you'd want to see the amazing texture of the crystals more than just trees in white gauze.

HOLLY!!!!! So glad you're back! Sorry to hear that you've been sick.

Well it seems that Santa has been VERY good to you... you got your wish. Just wait, you will find the Kindle to be just as addictive as vaping! You are going to have soooo much fun with it especially since you have the Kindle Fire! I may take that plunge in the future... maybe my birthday? Maybe I'll start hinting to my hubby....

Well after dealing with Alaska, I guess you could adjust to sleeping in extremely cold weather!

So glad you were in touch with Blues. I'm sure he will tire quickly, dealing with the healing process and physical therapy but he is getting better with each passing day. Getting out of the hospital will lift his spirits greatly especially having to eat hospital food while he is there... yuck.

Still keeping him and you in my prayers everyday!

I don't think it's so odd sleeping in the cold. If you have enough covers, your body heat keeps you warm, and breathing the fresh air is invigorating. When I was a kid, up till I was 12 and we moved, I slept on a sun porch, winter and summer. Not only wasn't it heated, but it wasn't very well insulated. Before I went to bed, my mom would put my pajamas with feet into the oven on a low heat, so when I got into them, they were toasty warm and kept me comfortable till the covers warmed up. For centuries, till just lately, people slept w/o heat when the fireplaces burned low, sometimes going to bed with hot bricks wrapped in cloths to keep them warm till they could heat up the inside of the covers. It was actually probably healthier than that heat that dries out your nose and throat and eyes.

I remember my grandmother telling me the story of when I was a baby and she went to check on me, and snow had drifted in through a crack between the window and its frame, just above where I was sleeping. My blankets were covered with snow, but I was sound asleep.

This was in Philadelphia, where it doesn't get as cold as some places, but still, there's snow on the ground in winter, so it was often freezing in my bedroom. I sometimes played with my dolls and served them "tea," which was actually water in their teacups. If I left the water there and went to sleep, it was frozen solid in the morning.

It amuses me that we talk a lot about sucking on the positive end of a battery ! , but, it appears we are actually concerned about each other, our pets, and life in general. I saw where a lot of you have tried the T3s. I have been waiting for "opinions" because at first I avoided the Nano's, then the 2nd gen came out and when I tried them I find they are quite acceptable. I still prefer cartos for full flavor and vapor. I am thinking I will either build a box mod, or try the new VAMO, but I really don't think I need VW only VV. Do any of you have a VAMO? (Bamboo etc.). I would like an opinion from our little group.

I'm sticking to the good, old-fashioned batteries with cartos. They are simple and have few problems. All I hear of the new stuff is complications. I don't need them. When they get an improved vape with no fussing, and many people have tried it and had success, then I might try something else.

A Keurig is a coffee maker that makes a single cup of coffee, tea, hot chocolate, etc,,,,,,,one of those that uses the pods,,,,,,I'm sure you've seen them, but here it is if you haven't :)

Holly, sorry you've been sick & hope you are better soon.

OMG, a Keurig AND a Kindle Fire, you lucky thing, you! I'm sure you are loving both of them.

When I was in bed sick, I did a lot of reading on my Kindle 3G Keyboard. When the battery died, I'd switch to my iPod. I was surprised how easy it was to read on it; plus I used it to watch my Amazon Prime movies & Netflix movies. But an iPod is pretty tiny for that. So now I really want to get a Kindle Fire. I just have to talk myself into spending $200 (I probably will).

SandySue, glad you got home safely. And those pictures are just awesome!

WhiteRabbit, we met before but well ... I have been gone for about 3 weeks or so. I have sometimers disease (sometimes I remember, sometimes I don't). So maybe I did not give you a proper welcome back in October. :toast: If not, I'm sorry, and here's a big WELCOME!Anyway, nice to see you on here, & it feels good to finally be back.

Moonstruck - I guess you have had quite the time lately. Nice to see you back.

Holly - Geez, being sick sucks. Get better! Sounds like Santa was very good to you this Christmas.

SandySu - Glad you are home safe and sound. Yes, it always feels good to get home. What a silvery wonderland in photos. I won't clip Wiseguy because I really don't want to be trying to blanket him. Especially with the winds we have out here. I just don't picture getting a blanket on a horse in winds up to 70mph. We don't have fancy digs for the animals but the housing/pens are designed to meet their needs and is relatively nice looking.

Hope you are all having a nice afternoon [or whatever time it is in other parts of the world]. I'm feeling pretty lazy, too, Chief, although I did get the afternoon chores done.

Holly, I'm sorry to hear you're still sick. You didn't mention what it was, but lately, I've heard of lots of people getting pneumonia, so please go to the doctor and see what it is, if you're still feeling bad.

My arm is coming along. I should see if Cornell Catering has any jobs for me that I can do. I still can't reach over my head to a high shelf or carry really heavy things, but maybe I could do something there. I'm getting restless. But with all this snow, parking might be even more of a challenge than usual. Should I give it a try? I think I might ask.

Please feel better, Holly, and I'm sending the same get-well vibes that Rave and Blues are constantly getting.

I tried the clearo and the nano and although I liked them, I find I just use the carts all the time now lately.
Just easier for me.
And no leaking. :p

If you don't clip Wiseguy, you probably don't have to put a blanket on him. Only if you go out there and find he's shivering. I bet he'll be fine. There's no reason to clip a horse's winter coat unless you give him so much exercise that he gets really wet from sweat. Then, drying him out can take a long time, and hell get dry faster with short hair. Then you need a blanket to make up for the hair you removed. Otherwise, a blanket is probably unnecessary, especially if he has a shelter to get out of the wind if it's really strong and cold.
