This reminds me of the time my husband decided he wanted to try raising some pigs. He bought
three from a friend of his and one of those the boar, the boar he raised on a bottle. Its name was Arnie and had some pretty long tusks. Anyway,Arnie was always getting out of the pig pen and would follow us around like a dog. At first I was afraid of Arnie as I had never been around pigs and was afraid he would accidently slice my leg with a tusk.
One day my Mother came up for a visit and I told Ronnie to make sure that Arnie couldn't get out of his pen. Everything was fine and I was inside washing dishes while Mother was outside smoking. I saw her walking briskly around the house, didn't think anything of it,then she started jogging. All I could see was her mouth moving so I thought she was playing with the dogs,as she was making her third lap I saw Arnie trotting behind her. I ran outside yelling DON'T RUN. Mother never slowed down,Arnie oinking right behind her. She ran in the horse pasture slipped going down the bank right into some fresh horse manure. I was trying really hard not to laugh. Finally I got Arnie lured away and the words coming out of Mother's mouth would have made a sailor blush.Oh she was furious and scared to. Nothing I said or did cooled calmed her down. Her parting words that day was,"Raynes, your 40yrs old and I'm 65 yrs old.I brought you in this world, and child I can STILL take you out of it". A few days later I received a cleaning bill for her clothes and truck and she never visited again until after Arnie died.
