I'm going to do my exercises and go to bed soon. I have an early horse club meeting tomorrow, though maybe I'll check in here before I go. Meanwhile, here's another summery photo for those who are getting tired of snow scenes. This was taken at Longwood Gardens in PA. I went there many times as a kid, and it was one of those magical places that impressed me deeply. There are extensive water lily ponds there, and they dye the water black, which brings out the colors in the flowers, as well as preventing algae from growing.

Your so right Debra. How are you doing?
What a freaking day! Or at least the past 4 hours. I took my desktop into the computer shop. It wasn't starting up and getting stuck on the BIOS screen at startup. I thought my hard drive was going, so off I went. The fellow at the shop told me that I should consider getting off Microsoft XP as it will be not supported by MicroSoft much longer. I asked him to some diagnostics and give me a quote on upgrading to Windows 7, a new hard drive, and added memory. Well, the price wasn't so bad, so I told him to go ahead.
I get my computer back this afternoon and discover the one file I really need - my saved email files are gone. Poof! I looked at the backups and he backed up the wrong drive and left me with my old files dated back to 2008, but not the current ones. Those are the ones that I kept with important info such as download info and registration stuff for various things. I've been busy reloading all of my software programs and remembering how Windows is awhen you get your system refreshed.
So I pulled out my backup external hard drive to see if I could find my one file. The directions are like reading Sanskrit and make just as much sense. Ugh! I do have the right old hard drive, so I'll have to take the computer apart and plug that back in and see if I can find my files and back them up, then do another complete backup of my new system.
On the good side, my computer is running like a champ. I just have to learn Windows 7 now. I did check Microsoft's website about XP. They are discontinuing any service on it starting April 2014. If you are a hangeronner like me, you might want to consider upgrading your OS.
I see we are posting pictures of ourselves. I don't have anything new, but here's a picture of me and Whisper in Sedona from a few years ago.

ive got windows 8...I thought windows 7...was being shut down soon....not that I know jackabout comps...ive only been using them a few mths
my comp is as old as the hills...I wouldn't be here...only for old mates friend the comp wizard..he rebuilt the whole tower...said we better put windows 8 in...they had a special on...half price for program..so I just nod me head....it would of cost hundreds...he did it all for a few hundred.....he has set it up..so I can do basic stuff...im waiting for him to get better...but its not looking good....so im living on a prayer I don't stuff something up....im going to get lessons asap..MS is pushing Windows 8 to consumers but not to businesses. I expect windows 7 to be around for awhile, like XP. Until Microsoft fixes the bugs in 8 - I expect it won't be a suitable program for at least a year. I hope it isn't another MS Vista - that was not a nice OS. XP is old, but it was fairly reliable. I miss it already, but I guess I have to get with the times!
I hope this computer gives me a few more years. Upgrading is such a pain!

I'm good but I will be up at the .... crack of dawn to see how my little Wiseguy is doing. It is supposed to be 1 degree out by morning. He has lots of hay. It snowed so I hope he doesn't get ice balls on his feet again. I was reading where his feet won't freeze due to the ice balls but it has to be really uncomfortable.
The farrier said his feet look fine even though it has been really cold some nights so I guess I'll try not to be a worry wart. Wiseguy used to live in Elko and it gets really cold there so I am pretty sure he will be okay![]()
I sure wish I hadn't tried SI's Strawberry Nicquid. I purchased a sample bottle, and it's much better than the strawberry that I make myself. Dang it! That stuff is tasty!![]()
