Here's the smaller woodpecker I saw quite a bit in the yard. I think he's on the same tree as the large one. I never heard his voice, but I could find out where he was by following the knocking sound.

I wish! We slept to on the "shore" just the other side of the trees to the right - listening to coyotes(?) howling!

The property next to our former home is similar in the vegatation along the water - lots of tall grass - in "feeling" it's very much like that!

That why I thought it might be the farm where you lived.

I hear coyotes quite often at night here. It always makes me afraid for my cat if he's out at night when I hear them. So far, he's eluded them, though once something nearly bit off a hind toe. My guess is it was a coyote, though it could have been any number of animals, I guess. The other night, the coyotes were yipping in the fields behind the houses across the street. I think when they have that excited yipping, they have caught something, and the pack is fighting over the rights to eat it. Other times they just howl. I've often wished I could know what they're saying.

Once, up in Canada, on a highway (which was just a country road, really, going through deep, endless woods) north of Lake Superior, we stopped at a boat launch area for the night with our travel trailer, and we heard wolves howling. Yes, there is definitely a different sound to wolves than to coyotes. Another even weirder sound is to hear a loon on a lake at night. Blood-curdling sound.

Hey! Anyone heard from Lilac lately?
Wonder if she's still looking for that extra large mug for coffee?

Might be a bit early but I have some ready! :D

Did you take that photo? Is it your dog? It's a great shot and a very cute pup.

That would be a great option for her. That would be a good alternative for me as well. Four USB ports... I'm going to check that out!

I bought a powered hub at office depot. You can plug it into your computer as well, but I don't even bother. If I reboot my computer, it thinks it's a mass storage and won't boot all the way.

I will say that all I could get when I ordered my twist was the usb charger. I've charged it once via the powered usb hub and the battery charged in 3 hours. Now if I put my X2 on it, it takes forever. I've even changed cables several times with the same result.

Wellness is a GREAT dog food.

Whisper eats .... Van Patten's Natural Balance Vegetarian food. She loves it and it has made a huge difference in her coat! I think us pet owners have to go through a bunch of foods until we find the right balance for our kids.

hi wabbit I just sent pic of power point...so joann can see thanks

Do you mean your electric wall outlet? I don't remember receiving any new pics, was it sent via email?

I believe you all have 240 volt electricty, therefore you will either need an adaptor, like us USA folks take on our vacations to Europe (not me) but those rich folks. I can get you a picture and post it later today.
