I went ahead and bought the Provari. So now I switch between the Provari and my X2s. My Volts I use when I am shopping at the grocery store. I don't vape in the store but I do vape all the way to the door:)

The Provari is nice and very advanced but then you have to have new hardware for it too so... I guess I'll never stop spending money on my new hobby:)

Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the provari. I've been reading the provapes forum about them and I'm having serious thoughts about adding one to my inventory in the future... just too expensive for me atm. It sounds like a good investment though. Did you get the regular size or the mini?

I have a mouse from the old computer, and I plan to keep that in case I want to use it instead of the touch pad. But some of the games use the keyboard, so I'll just have to get used to a different feel. I'm sure I'll get used to it. After all, it'll be a piece of cake after learning to use the touch pad. Boy! Was that a challenge!

Sounds like you have some good classic games. Which ones do you have? I've been trying to find one of my favorites, the classic Tetris games but not having any luck. The game I had was too old and would not play on my newer pc's... what a bummer! Now I play Bejeweled and Bejeweled twist. They are my current stress-relievers. Would like a few more of this type.

Hey DW good to see you. Sorry about your helath issues.

Blues, you are a brave man snuggling up to a wolf like that!

6 degrees out. Brrr. Need to bundle up and get the feed and water for the animals as soon as I get this cup of coffee in me.

My wife and I loved "Lemmings" but it will not run on XP, Vista, Win 7, or 8. At one time I set up an old Win 95 computer and we played it on that. By the way, I found my "ancient" Atari game in the attic with tons of games. I tried it out and it would not boot up. Probably the heat and cold up in the attic. I researched the web and there is a man who reconditions them and sells the box for $25 but I am not interested enough to go ahead and buy a reconditiond Atari because I don't even know if my game cartridges are any good.

I see a lot of you are ordering the Volt Spinner! Please post how you like them when they arrive.

Or did I miss you say the computer is an older one? I've been in the apps for awhile, so I guess that's what I'm talking about. (phone, kindle, ipod)

I can't remember where I saw it, but they sell the old Atari games for computer/tablets somewhere. My husband was going to look into it. He use to love Atari games. I was into the Intellivision stuff. Remember Burgertime! I was hooked on that one.

I love having the later models of computers but for some reason I much prefer the older cartoonish types of video games. The type with falling shapes or jewels... building speed. I also like the childish super mario brothers even. Adding to that lineup, I'm also a "Zelda" fan but only the older versions... I don't care for the later releases of them. I love the working out part of puzzles and finding hidden items. The newer video games that have lifelike characters have no appeal to me at all... Does that mean I'm a big kid at heart?

Zelda!!! I was so hooked on that for along time years ago. I found the ringtones for my phone not too long ago and used them, brought back good memories. :)
I like the cartoon characters, too.....that's why I'm an Angry Bird addict. :p

I've had this happen to me, too. You get a new computer with a new OS, and your old games don't work. Sometimes, they will upgrade them, but sometimes they won't. I never did find Tetris for my Mac, but I found similar games. I Googled games for my OS and then read the descriptions. Often, they let you download and try them for a little while before you register and pay for them. One of my favorites with my old OS was Firefall Arcade, which they didn't upgrade for my new OS. I was so addicted to that game that I wondered how I'd exist without it, but I did. Now I have Majong Solitaire, which is popular enough that it comes in many forms, so maybe you can find it for a PC. I have something called Mike's Arcade, which has a number of games like the ones popular in the '80s: a version of Pac Man, Q Bird (which is like Q Bert), and some shooting games I don't play much. I really like Q Bird. I also have BoxXikon, where you stack squares and they disappear when there's a lineup of 3, trying to not fill up the board. Another with the same principle is faster, Descender. Downfall is another similar one. I know these aren't the high-tech games people play now, but they are relaxing and just my speed. Actually, I got so into Q Bird that I started some self-analysis based on how I played the game and what personality traits prevented me from being more successful. I even wrote up my little Q Bird philosophy:

1. Be careful. Don't be impatient or hasty, or you won't last very long.
2. Live within reality. Don't base your moves on what you want to be true but instead on what is.
3. Each board, don't worry about how many lives you still have left. Make every move count.
4. Don't start a game thinking, This time I'll make the high score list. The pressure means you usually won't. Just start playing with no preconceived notions or plans about what will happen.
5. It's OK to establish patterns that usually work, but if they don't this time, it's imperative to break out of the mold and try something different without delay. Don't get so hung up on doing things like you did last time that you can't change if those patterns won't work for this game.
6. When you start a game of Q-Bird, don't think about a different game you'll play next. Play Q-Bird now, and then you can switch games. If this is impossible, quit Q-Bird and play the other game.
7. Don't get so anxious to land on that one last square or egg that gives you an advantage that you forget about the worms and lose a life. It might be your last life, and the game will be over.

Raven's Haven, Indiana
OH WOW Alyeska is beautiful !!! I can see why Raven wouldn't go to the facility, it would break her heart,(mine to) to see wild animals out of their natural habitat. If I had several hundreds of acres I would try to rescue a small herd of mustangs so they would have a place to roam freely undisturbed like God intended for them to WITH the exception colts would have to be gelded and any stallions.

I'd go with him in a heartbeat next time he's in the area. Until Blues told me, I never even knew it was in the area. I've only lived in Indiana full time since 2004, and I wasn't ambulatory for the first part of that. From what he's told me, they have lots of room to roam there. What breaks my heart is seeing such beautiful creatures in tiny cages.

Rabbit,IF I can figure out how to get the pic of me off FB my friend sent I'll send it to you to post. I'm computer ignorant.

Raynes - You could friend me on FB, and I'll snag it for you if you like. :)

You Naughty Girl You  Eventually I will move up, first to the Vamo I think, then much much later to the ProVari

It's funny. Shortly after I starting vaping in 2009, I began "moving up". Finally, I got tired of all of the fiddling and messing around. I just wanted to vape, for pete's sake. So - I moved up to a simple SI Volt. I've been here ever since.

Coffee is on, Raven. We are having Sumatran:) Cereal is on the table Or Drearyole as Hubby likes to jokingly call it.

Thanks for the coffee, Lizzie! Coffee%202.gif I'll pass on the drearyole.

I'm addicted to turning gorgeous photographs (like Sandy's) into computer screen jigsaw puzzles. Solving them makes me feel like I'm bringing order to chaos. Ahhh - the ways that we delude ourselves.

I have an old version of Tetris that will not download on my newer computers. I've played Angry Birds on my grandson's iphone and love that game but I don't want a smartphone, iPod, iPad just to play it though. Alas... I have the 2nd generation kindle with keyboard so that won't work either. I would love to be able to see all the pretty colors with smooth movements that I use to get on my old Gateway... slow as molasses computer. I've checked Amazon to see if they might have it.. no luck. No worries... I'll live. :)

I love puzzles, too. Before video games AND my children coming along....I use to always have a puzzle going on a table. I had one going of Rhett Butler and Scarlet Ohara - he was holding her - and the burning of atlanta was behind them in the background...and I was almost done....I went into the hospital to deliver my first baby and my polish ex-mother-in-law came to my house to help me (bless her heart she meant well) and when I got home she had put it all away back in the box because she told me I wouldn't have time for stuff like that anymore.....she was right....I didn't again for years but I was almost done! Never did reassemble it though. Maybe someday I'll find it again and finish it.....maybe....well, after another angry birds session. :p

Angry birds is cool because you can redo and redo and redo. Short little sessions and if you get called to something else, no big deal. Doesn't take up much room, you can download it to your phone and play for a few minutes at a time. And if you can't solve it....I always try for the 3 stars...you can go to youtube and see how it's solved....even then it takes some skill to pop the birds into the right spots. Its an easy/hard game. So easy my 5 year old grandson plays...hard because sometimes its just hard and takes awhile to get the 3 stars....at least for me anyway. Maybe I'm just easily amused. :2cool:

Rave, do you have software to create jigsaw puzzles from photos? That sounds like fun.

I know Angry Birds is all the rage, but I'm a die-hard Mahjong fan. I have several versions of it, & I play almost every day. Other than that, I'm not really into video or computer games that much. I think it just stems from spending so many years sitting in front of a computer screen all day at work. So it was the last thing I wanted to do when I got home. Well, that has certainly changed now that I'm retired --seems like I spend a good portion of every day at my computer.

I've decided to skip on the Volt Spinner for now. I had already ordered a vv before SI made the announcement. And the only reason I even bought it was to try to get some kind of satisfaction out of the T-3s. And it does work for that. But the T-3s are really too big for me, and now I find myself using plain old cartos more and more. They're simple. They're easy. They're cheap. No fiddling. No mess. So round & round in the circle I go.

They have a computer version. I think you get it off the Angry Birds website. Surprised it wouldn't be in Amazon with all the choices.....for PC. Or did you say you had a Mac. But since Apple allows it on it's ipad, ipod stuff why not their computer, too? Donno.
Yeah, kindle, you have to have the Kindle Fire. So worth it tho...you would like that. I love mine. Glad I bought it.

No. I only played Zelda, the adventures of Link. Didn't know there were others. I didn't get into "gaming" per se...just certain games. I was into playing the kids Aladdin when it was on Sega. Loved that game, too. And of course that Blue hedgehog character....Sonic!! :p
