Jeesh, hit the hay early 'cause I haven't been feeling up to snuff and missed a ton!
Bling - I keep my batteries in "stock' condition. I do use labels on all my delivery systems, P-Touch, and they stay on even with washing everything in hot water. So if they're using a similar adhesive the bling should stay put.
Lizzie, I sure don't envy you with two dachshunds! My Great Aunt and my Grandmother both had a dachshund each, they lived together. One was a full sized, one was a mini. Both were spoiled rotten and over weight from being over fed. Long story short, I ended up with both of them, and we already had our own dog at the time, a mutt. Those were the two most stubborn dogs I've ever dealt with. I'm fairly big and have always been the pack leader with all of our dogs, but these two came from another universe, let alone planet.
Neither was house broken, properly, and I was very glad we had redone the floors to bare hardwood a few month before. It took almost six months of constant work to get them to go outside to do their business, even with the lead of our mutt who was house broken as a pup.
Neither wanted to run, play or exercise in any way. Our mutt would go out on the overhead run in the back yard for hours and chase moths and butterflies, birds or what ever. These two just sat on the doorstep and barked to come back in. The funniest scene was when my business partner decided to walk the full size one on a leash. My business partner is 6' 4" and weighs about 350 pounds. Compared to the dachshund, even the full size, he was like the Jolly Green Giant. He got the dog on the leash, out the front door and down the driveway to the sidewalk. It was a struggle, the dog kept planting its feet and refusing to walk, but he kept tugging an cajoling it along to the sidewalk. Once there, he started off down the sidewalk along the front of our house. The whole time I'm watching from the bay window in the living room. They went about ten feet, the dog planted its feet and slipped the collar right off. He kept right on going, unaware the dog was just sitting on the sidewalk. The picture of this 6'4" guy, in a dark three piece suit, head held proudly because he was able to get the dog walking on the leash, walking an empty collar and leash down the sidewalk is still in my minds eye after 40 years!
