I miss you guys to. I'll be popping in when I can. No worries, I'm fine and thank you all for thinking about me.
Awsum,Bo gets more beautiful every time I see him. No wonder the house shakes every time he runs.
Lizzie Wiseguy is as cute as a button.
Kicco, the fur babies are all fine and totally rotten, thanks for asking. Millie attacked me again the other night. Got the right side of my face and my ear pretty good. It wasn't her fault she got awakened out of a dead sleep in my lap by the two dogs that my husband rescued they were fighting over a toy. Sometimes I'd give anything to know just what kind of abuse she has gone through at others I thank God IDK but that cat shed real tears after she realized what she had done. It broke my heart when she started licking my wounds and then she put her paws around my neck and hugged me just like a child would. Now even my husband is after me to take her back to the Humane Society but I just can't do it. She loves me and I love her. I'm the only person that she does love and she loves me to the point she'll try to attack anyone who she doesn't know that gets close to me. I think that's an unusual behavior for a cat. If Blues was here he could tell me. So its OK if I have "battle" scars its nothing to the scars she carries in her heart

Millie sounds like a real fighter that has been through a lot. Fighting for survival is something that cannot just be "domesticated" out of an animal real easy. I'm glad you're ok and the two of you have made up.

Thanks Tails. There is no doubt in my mind that Millie has been through a lot, that's why I refuse to give up on her and she has made great progress. Now she is always in my lap as soon as I sit down. If I was a cat and got awakened from a deep sleep by dogs play fighting I would have done the same thing. Right now she is in my lap kneading me,I've been told that is their way of showing contentment and security.I can't /won't take that away from her.
Anyway, thanks for allowing me to vent.

Raynes - hope your cat continues to improve:)

I took my little Wiseguy out for a bit of a walk today. I could tell he was going to be Mr. Beans. We still had a nice relaxing time of it. He even saw Molly the dog running loose and didn't get upset. Yeah!!!! Can't wait to get the round pen going. He just needs a chance to do a bit of rolling, running and bucking now and then.

I went for the jump [it is a really low jump] and he got a bit rowdy. He is so cute. Spring is in the air. It was 61 degrees out.

Hubby will be here pretty soon now. I can't wait to see him.

I downloaded a bunch of photos to put in Photobucket. Now to give you one of them, a rose.

Off to exercise and hit the hay.

Oh no! (Apparently missed hearing of Millies arrival - was that Nov/Dec?) Glad she didn't hurt you worse (thinking of eyes) - but seems to me those scratches have a way of really stinging. Her history - Many's the time I wished I didn't know what I did about the kids in our lives. Mankind - what can one say about that species ... except to question who the real animal is ....

We are hovering around the 20's ... come on Spring! There are some furbies in need of your warm drying sunshine so they can get a bath!
Little Zane ;) he has this cute way of looking up at me from under Amira's neck - reminds me a little boy peaking from behind his social worker's skirt when we first met! Zane came over to watch for a bit while Molly got a quick hoof pic over her feet. Hope he took note of how beautifully she stood! That practice totally fell by the wayside back in Dec when the group came along w/ "Old Man Winter" setting in ...

Spring - a time of renewal - hope reborn ...
Take care all ...

Well, we are under the 2 digit mark for the days left with my two dog house guests. The problem child has peed on my dog bed, so she's sequestered to the crate again. Seems as if I give her a lot of attention, she rewards me with ...... in the house. The less attention, she does better. That is completely opposite to what I've dealt with my other dogs.

I can't trust her in the house alone when I'm at work and when I'm asleep, so she stays in the crate. I take them all out when I get home and get them running in the back yard to stretch out. I feel somewhat bad for the pup, but I don't want my house destroyed either.

9 days and counting. Send some good thoughts my way, please!!!

I have to admit, I'm counting down with you! You have earned the "True Friend" award in my book and I hope she realizes that too. I admire you AJ, I really do. :toast:

Tail - It is pretty bad when you are counting down the days until someone picks up their pets.

Kico- I have gone back and forth on size of round pen but will have to make up my mind soon. I have the funds to buy the posts. Fifty foot is recommended by Clint Anderson and some other less famous people because a sixty foot can be more walking for the owner and the horse can "get away from you" in the sixty foot. Sixty foot is often recommended. Fifty foot is often recommended.

I'm leaning towards 50 foot.

Wieguy is so cute but I have to make sure he doesn't do the bucking/rearing thing when he gets upset. He is small but he is a real horse and he isn't allowed to do that! He is doing much better. Sometimes you can tell he is going to be Mr. Beans [full of farts and bucks] and yesterday he was trying to eat the grass when I was leading him.

Kon and Deb - You are both incorrigible:)

SandySu - How's the arm? Kico - How's the ankle?

All is right with the world. I have my handsome Hubby home:)

Gotta clean a house today. See you guys later.

I've always heard 60 feet, but since you have a mini, smaller would probably work. Still, if you might ever get a full-sized horse, then 60 feet would be better. I think you can keep control at the larger size fairly easily. If not, you can always shorten the longe line till he minds and let it out gradually. And if he gets away from you when you don't have a line on him, in the pen it's no big deal. A longe whip that'll reach him or nearly so will help. You really shouldn't be doing that much running around. The idea is that the human stays in one spot, and the horse moves his feet.

As for my arm, it's coming along. Wednesday night when I did my exercises, they suddenly felt easier. I'm looking forward to the new guy being my new PT. I think he's more skilled, and my progress may be faster. I want to lift a saddle onto Penny's back by April. Let's see if I can meet that goal.

Kon & Deb are incorrigible, but it's such fun to hear them go on. I named Kon our bad boy, and maybe White Rabbit felt left out, but I think he's our official comedian. You, Lizzie, are our official workaholic.
