Thanks for the coffee Lizzie! The weather here is similar to what Awsum is getting... temps in the upper 40s after being in the upper 80s yesterday around the same time of day.

I was called once for Federal years ago, had to sit there all day without being called. Haven't been called on lately.

The thing that I don't like about jury duty is they call on the same people over and over and some people never get notices. I don't understand that especially if they also have driver licenses and actively vote in most elections. They need to include everyone to be completely fair.

Sitting down, facing forward.
I have to agree about the fairness of being called for jury selection. I was called once in my 30's, when I was in the security/private detective business, and that disqualified me at that time. I was also called in my 40s and was working for the Court system, the same County Court that called me, so that went by the wayside. Never heard a thing until last year, really kind of strange. I do think they weight things based on age, calling us folks who are a little older more often since they think we are more available.

The solar project isn't moving very fast. I'm still working on the basement and how to lay things out. I'm also trying to decide if I should buy a tank, about 200 gallons (4x4 feet), or build a tank, about 500 gallons (4x8 feet). The tank serves as a heat bank to store enough hot water to carry things through cloudy days like this one. 200 gallons is "about right" for the amount of collectors I'm planning, but I might want to add more collectors which would require a bigger tank. A bigger tank also moderates the water temperature to a certain degree. I think I'm going to put everything into SketchUp and fool around with the best layout. I have started buying supplies I'll need so some progress is happening.

Here's a news item some of you might find fun.

I've heard of other horses that paint. In fact, one of them is an organization for retired racehorses, where they get their horses to paint pictures, then they sell them, and the proceeds finance the program. Also, a few years ago, in a catalog of horse stuff I saw Christmas cards painted by a horse.

I never heard of such a thing, but cats do strange things. Are you sure the wet spot wasn't pee? I guess you would have smelled it if it was.

Loving water is definitely not a usual cat thing, but loving high places is. I think they like to get high up so they can survey their entire kingdom.

Turkish angora is interesting. I noticed when I was in Turkey that all the cats there were longhairs, unlike here, where the majority are shorthairs. Even the strays you'd see exploring garbage cans were longhairs in Turkey. I guess now they're a breed instead of just the kind of cat they have there?

Hello everyone! I'm back online on my own computer now. Thanks for all of the support. JoAnn let me know that the gang had me in their thoughts. I'm still busy with my claim, trying to remember what was in the newly formed holes throughout my house and garage. The robbers are still at large, so no news on that front.

I'll check in from time to time, but please remember that I'm still very busy trying to get my house back in order. I hope all is well for each of you.

Welcome back, Tail. We were all sorry to hear about the robbery. I hope you're feeling OK now.
