Hi everyone!

I'm new to ECF, just started vaping and got my Volt kit in last week. I absolutely love it! My fave flave is the RY4 so far. I posted in the noob section and a few kind folks invited me to check this area, so here I am. Looks like you guys have a tight group.

While I was taking a walk around the neighborhood on this lovely spring day, who should I meet but Mr. & Mrs. Wabbit! One of then had an elegant lost-glove hat.

Darn Paparazzi we can't go anywhere without being photographed. That's Mrs. Wabbits new black hat she has on:laugh:

Good Morning, Volties. Have some coffee, AA. There's tea in the cupboard and I made bread Sunday so have some toast with butter and honey.

It's rough being famous, Rabbit.

Hi ZZ, awsum is right. this is the looney bin:)

Big day. Need to clean the goat pen which means raking and wheel barrowing. Need to pick up the horse pen. I'm going to put Wiseguy in his round pen about 8:45 so he can have some kicking up his heels time. The vet will be here at 9:45am.Then, I will collapse onto the couch and rest up for tomorrow.

It looks like a very nice day for Debra. I am just crazy enough to have placed two gadgets on my computer screen showing the time in Queensland Australia as well as the weather. It is about 68 degrees in her area of the world today and a little cloudy. I am sure you are loving the temps this time of year Debra. Pet Alice for us and say Hi.

It's cloudy and kind of cool here, just 51 right now. Love home made bread with lots of butter, toasted or not!

I'm off to Lowes for a couple of items I forgot yesterday, then finish a little raking in the front yard, clean up a flower bed and move some irises from the back into that front bed.

I'm finally starting to get ready to move the water heater, step one of my solar water heating project. One thing just leads to another. Where the water heater is at, right now, there's a sump nearby that I piped the pressure relief to, just in case. Where it's going there is no sump, of course, and no way to pipe it to the existing sump. So the first thing to do is cut through the floor, dig a hole and set another sump basin nearby. One thing just leads to another, and another, and another, and another....well, you get the idea.

I'll try to remember that while I'm drilling a hundred holes through the floor, breaking up the concrete with a hammer and digging the hole for that sump basin...LOL

My outside activities are down the hopper, it's drizzling outside and has dropped below 50. Crappy day out there, so I'm busy with the north end of a southbound drill.

Hey guys and gals,

Thanks for the very warm welcome. I'm not sure I'll get through all 2564 pages, but I'll dig around and see if I can get caught up on the shenanigans. Certainly sounds like a motley crew!

A little about me:
Was a light smoker, mostly social, and hated cigarettes. Just loathed the smell, the coughing, the knowledge that they're lethal, etc. Occasionally I found a taste that was adequate, but nothing great. I mostly just enjoyed the slight buzz and sensation of inhaling something (sounds weird). I gave up drinking in December and found myself smoking a lot more, about half a pack a day (menthol). I hated going outside of my apartment into the cold to do something that I knew was lethal and would make me stink. I knew of e-cigs but hadn't tried one in a few years. Bought a disposable and it was good enough so I figured a Volt should do the trick. So far I'm in heaven! A few days without analogs and very little desire for one. These things taste a billion times better, are cheaper, I can vape inside, in the car and I never smell bad (at least not because of vaping ;). I ended up getting a 1200mah eGo Twist and 3ml Vivi Nova for around the house but use my Volts a LOT. Always when I'm out doing something.

I'm 34, male, Sagittarius, born in B-more and now leave near DC. My favorite activity is Skydiving, which I do most weekends and I'm trying to learn to play the Piano which is much more fun while vaping! Coming up on 5 months of sobriety, thanks to AA, and now I kicked cigs too. It feels freakin' awesome, now I just need to get to the gym.

Welcome Zephr! I lived in Bowie, MD for about 10 years now I'm living in CA. Congrats on all of your achievements!

Thanks! San Francisco is among my favorite cities on the planet and I love Cali in general. My goal is to move out there inside of 5 years. There are certainly worse places to be than DC or MD but the weather an people in Nor Cal are both awesome. Great state. I've been keeping up the the vaping legislation, it'll break my heart if it goes through.

Skydiving sounds so exciting! When I was in my 20s, I used to wish I could do that. I thought it would be great to fly, which I imagined it might feel like. Then I heard that landing, even with a parachute, isn't the soft-as-a-feather alighting I thought, but more like jumping off a 15-foot wall. How true is this? I'm really very ignorant about skydiving, though quite a ways back in this Chitchat I posted a YouTube video of someone skydiving with a helmet cam. I was amazed that they turned and twirled so much on the way down. But seeing that video is probably as close as I'll ever come to the real thing, so I admire your guts. Did you have to get physically ready to do it? Do they expect some sort of physical readiness? Do they teach you how to land before the first jump? That first jump must be interesting, when you look out the open door of a plane at the tiny world below. I guess it gets easier as time goes on. Please tell us all about it, as I think this hobby of yours is tremendously interesting.

You will find out soon enough that my hobby is horses, and I own a lovely older chestnut mare. I was hurt by one of her pasture mates last fall and I'm still on the road to recovery after a bad break in my arm up near the shoulder and an operation to put a plate in to hold the bones together. I didn't ride all winter, and just last Sunday got back on my horse for the first time since the accident.

Congrats, Zeph, on your victories! As far as skydiving, I fail to see a reason to jump out of a perfectly good airplane! I love high places and have climbed some pretty tall antenna towers over the years. I don't know if I'd have the nerve to jump out of a plane though. I'd want to be the one folding my own chute, just so I knew, if you know what I mean.
