it's just the rough wood sample so I could cast the molds for it... dunno how much of a difference the acrylic will make it... and I dunno if I want to change it some more.... lol... getting antsy waiting out the last of the curing time....

Congrats!
I really like the angle of the drip tip. Definitely makes the design stand out.
love child of an ali'i and a mAhmbaDrozd: that is beautiful - and I too love the angled tip!

I'm going to hurt my husband. grrr. His passport is expiring and he needs it for a trip for work in January. He just called to tell me he needs a check for $170 made out to the State Dept asap. And he doesn't know if work will reimburse because anyone who would know is not in today. Seriously? we just bought a washer and now at the end of the month he needs $170 I didn't budget for?
When baby sitting parrots, the ideal thing is to visit frequently when the owner is there and handle them then (assuming they're friendly to the owner.) Let them get used to you handling them. Otherwise it ends up being "mommy's gone and this person is trying to grab me."
You also need to know their personalities. In my house, Poeia hates being locked up. She loves the inside of boxes and drawers and things, but not the cage. She does a lot of threatening to bite stuff to indicate her displeasure and, if she accidentally makes contact, skin will be broken. She's easy to towel.
Annabella, on the other hand, doesn't mind being in her cage at all. But she thinks it's a game to refuse standing in your hand when she's on the cage top. But once you maneuver her to the edge, she steps right into your hand (which is good because she hates being toweled). She's never broken my skin but, being a Mini Macaw, she can put a fair amount of pressure on a finger in her mouth. (And while I've been writing this, she climbed down the side of her cage and up my leg.)
And a little less "nasty" talk when referring to lovely parrots, please.![]()
