It broke my heart when I had to close the sanctuary, WAGS & Whiskers, because of money! Those were difficult times letting go and finding shelters and foster homes for all the animals.

I had developed a technique for quickly socializing feral cats and that was my specialty. After I closed the shelter I traveled around the country teaching the technique to other feral cat rescuers. When you have a gift and don't use it you feel a hole in your heart. Some day maybe I can be in a position to see if I still have it.

I would rather have animals than money but unfortunately you can't have them without some money. I wish people would donate more to the small rescues rather than the large ones that get grants and large donations. Usually the small independent rescuers end up helping the most animals in the long run and get very little help with vet bills. I could go on and on about some of the large non-profits but I won't ;)
Its no wonder we get along so well gooddog!!! When you get a feral cat or abused animal to trust again there is no better feeling in the world!!! I sooo agree with 100 % of what you said!!

So since it's APPARENTLY fathers day, I took my son to my dads house for a little quality time. At some point I lost a whole e-cig! battery and atomizer! I came home only to realize it was gone and went to assemble another and I am missing an atty too! I am down to ONE atty and 2 batteries! THIS SUCKS. BAD DAY.:mad:

I feel the same way. I had 5 cats but lost one last year. I feel so heartbroken when I go in a shelter because I want to take them all home with me!

Off topic - does anyone else exhale vapor through their nose & have a runny nose all the time?
Hubby and i do, but no runny nose yet...but hasn't been that long tho.

Thanks! Leo was 1 vote away from a tie! Can't believe he lost to a dog sitting in the snow! I totally should have uploaded pics of Leo vs. the 3'+ of snow in our back yard this winter. Dangit! lol

I think everyone won on that contest to be able to see so many pics of so many awesome pets! I was getting thread updates on my phone so I could check out new pics while on breaks hehe

I have 8 cats! All rescues...one I bottle fed from 1 day old until she was 8 weeks old. I can't go to shelters...I cry for days after if I do. I even have trouble going to the pet store. :( I want to take EVERYTHING home.

And YES! Do you notice the runny nose issue more with liquids that have VG in them??

Hmm, I haven't really taken notice. I think probably moreso with Ms. T's than with TV, and I think she puts more VG in, but I'll have to be more conscientious.

What did you do to it? Maybe hubby can help long distance.

Well, first I dropped it and a piece of plastic broke off by the connector, making that exposed and obviously loose. THEN, because I'm so smart, I screwed a carto into the connector to see if it still worked...and it did, until I tried to unscrew the carto and the center wire is now completely detatched. :( I suck.

Well, best would be to solder it back in place, but if the end of the connector wire is long enough, tape might work.

I'm surer Nephilim can explain it better than I but I dunno when he'll be back.

Can you get a pic of what's loose nice and close?

I'll try...my child is being insane currently. LOL
