Tell them they need to fill out the ID-10T form. :p That was an old favorite in the Navy. ;)

I saw someone fall for that once. The hoot was he was bragging that the was @ desert storm ( he's not the right age btw)
So realizing this a friend of mine also in the military Looks at me and then this guy and says something like so "did you fill out your ID-10T form than?" And this guy just kept going on just how involved this form was. lol I died on the spot tell you what.... will never forget that...

That is made of awesome! I knew a guy like that. He was in the Navy, i saw the pictures, but he claimed he was a SEAL.

Those that come right out with operator experience, especially specialized units, typically aren't. It should take at least a few questions before someone comes out with a statement like that.

LOL - Belive me, the FIRST thing I asked was "which sow is it?" the kids said "the one we are gonna breed next week, you cant shoot her" . LOL

She is back in, and the boys are armed with hammer and staples. SO- let the questions begin.... before I have to take one of them to the ER for poking an eye out....

Yeah, there are a couple of sites to verify status. There are very few SEALs running around, the chance of running into one is pretty low. I've only met two or three in my life that I've actually talked to and know. One lives down in southern VA near a base (no need to name it, it's a pretty popular location since the activities of a month or so ago). One was the father of someone I went to HS with and the third was a friend of that guy's father that I met during DEP. When I was a Boot coming from SOI to the FMF (Fleet Marine Force), a SEAL team was berthed in the squad bay beneath my receiving quarters. I didn't know any of them or talked to any of them. SEALs usually keep to themselves and usually aren't very talkative, most operators aren't.

If you've seen Tears of the Sun, that probably most accurately portrays those type of individuals, their personalities and how they get stuff done.
