Thanks you guys. We'll have plenty of "interference" if all goes well. The guest list is now my MIL, SIL (DH's sister) BIL (his brother) and 17 yr old nephew. It's a great reason to clean the house ;-)
This means the only person she can trash talk is DH's other brother - and he's an .... lol - so trash away.
I just get so frustrated. She was a different woman - or at least a slightly different woman before DH's dad died. We use to run up for a visit at the drop of a hat and beg them to come see us. My friends envied our relationship. But it all changed 8.5 yrs ago. She's bitter-hearted and seems to enjoy other people's suffering and creating conflict. DH works hard to maintain a relationship with her and is very good at setting boundaries with her. But as her son, he can say things I cannot - even after being a member of the family for 21 years. And it makes me sad that our boys don't know her as the Grandmother their older cousins had. Thanks for letting me vent! lol

I have people call me when their baker quits on them 3 days before a huge wedding- and then get mad because I wont do a 5 tier cake. or charge them 100.00 more.
That is because they expect you to jump through a hoop and bake them a 6 or 7 tier cake for free because you are so sympathetic to their plight.

Until the kid gets old enough to be your cleaning service there is always roomba. But roomba only vacuums, you'll have to find a self cleaning solution for the dishes and cleaning the bathroom. Drapes work wonders as far as window washing

speaking of working for free- I am starting to HATE all this legal stuff- So far I have read 3 books on non profits, a law book on buisiness', so many PDF's, blogs and FAQ's that I dream about fiscal sponsorship, and STILL cant fiqure out what is wrong.. I have been told it CANT be this easy- that its too hard to do- CPA's wont help us at all, (except for a LARGE fee) lawyers tell us its not their forte... I wish I could find what I was missing....

Depends on the mixture but keep rinse your face w/ ~cold~ water a few times. If you've got anything resembling a hive or rash, consider using a paper towel soaked in milk to wipe it for a bit. -Magnus

It's official. I have managed to stay married to the same man for 21 years today (7/21). And I love him more today than I did day one. Wow! So many memories.

Another mile and a half down.... Mixed bag on running again. My body is protesting some of the old injuries and I'm not as young as I use to be. The many years spent not running while awaiting my eventual surgical corrections took it's toll. Week 3 running almost done.

I feel ya lox ... it's been heat indexes in the 100-118 range here for about a week .. miserable. Plus we're having flooding. We're actually getting a break with temps in the upper 80s the rest of this week (YUK) and humidity only at 85% -- I'm so sick of it -- and everyone thinks its always cold in Minnesota. I wish.
These are the days when I hide out at home . unfortunately, I have to go out today to see the doc. She doesn't think "its too hot" is a good excuse not to come in. At least my appt is early .. before it really gets hot.
Snow .. I'd sell my soul for a couple inches of lovely snow ...

Wow I bid a job a year ago and lost it to a competitor who was half my price. The customer called today - He did the locks a year ago and never finished the job or gave them any keys and yet for some reason they paid the bill- Now I'm the bad guy because I want them to pay me for the work to fix his mess
Home Depot and Lowes sell locks from China that they cant even duplicate keys for and people get mad at me instead of them

LOL! I installed all new brinks reinforcer plates and Medeco locks when we bought our house. Pain in the .... to get keys for, but well worth it. It is one of the few locks I have never been able to pick open (yes I serviced locks, including repinning, and you have to pick them if they have a shim guard...at least when I was taught). There is a severe PITA process to get additional keys.
I remember people comming in with a bag of locks (not just the cylinder, but the whole lock and plates half the time as well) and saying things like "they was supposed to be on one key, but they ain't. How do I buy matching ones." XD
Still have a couple of pinning kits somewhere....
