Hiya folks. I wasn't sure where to at least introduce myself but felt like an e-peeping Tom so decided this thread would work.

Looking forward to chatting more with some great folks. You all have made my day (watching your good deeds) on multiple occasions since I've been here. Thanks!

Hopefully, at some juncture, I'll have something to offer in one of the PIF threads. I'm still building up my arsenal of e-cig goodies. :)

Welcome, welcome. I'm in the same boat as you. I hang out here, but haven't actually had the chance to do any PIFing yet... Still building stock to share!

Hi guys, I just decided I want to try and make a glass drip tip. Well I havent ever seen a drip tip and the pictures on nhaler etc don't show it on anything. I need to know if it goes on the outside of the automizer or if it slides into it. Can anyone give me thank info? Id sure appreciate it.

Thanks for the welcome and for the compliments on Beans. She's a handful of a mutt. Sadly, that little ear doesn't flop over like that anymore. It was so incredibly cute. Now she just has these gigantic bat dog ears which is equally amusing.

When we were looking for a new pup on Petfinder, I showed my husband a few pics of rat terriers since we needed a small dog to go with my dachshund. His remark,"No way would I want a dog with those gigantic ears. Sheesh, there's nothing there but ears on that dog!" added to a few other comments about the mental capacities of said dog.

So, we found Ella Bean (actually named Ella Fitzgerald). She had these cute little floppy ears and was this little furball. We didn't have her 3 days when one ear started to stand up. A couple of months later, both were standing up. Sure enough, we got a dog with ginormous ears! But, we wouldn't trade her for any other.

I am a lampworker or beadmaker. I make them by rolling molten glass on stainless steel rods. My 510 atty is 9mm around so if it goes on the inside I am going to try putting the glass on a slightly smaller rod when I form it and see what I can do.
OMG....that sounds so friggin cool prism... would love to see some of ur work, u should post some pics in the "show ur artistic side" thread... Please??? LOL and if u ever need a tester, Im your gal:blush:

That sounds really interesting. Question, though, wouldn't the glass get pretty hot working as a drip tip? I honestly have no ideas on drip tips as I don't have one. It just seems they would since I'd always assumed they hooked into a cart or atomizer that is heated.

yeah they might, but if u make it long enough it may not matter... we have a metal one and i like it when it is hot, rather than cold. and i believe another one of our members Shatner, makes glass drip tips, but he hasnt been around much, he has pics on that artistic thread.

That makes sense. I've never really understood how drip tips work or what their purpose is. They look neat though.

One of these days I'll find the end all, be all explanation on drip tips and it'll just click. Although, considering my spending on all of this so far, it may be better that I remain ignorant.

I'd look at the pictures over at superT : Super T Manufacturing, Innovative manufacturer of electronic cigarette products.
he's got some pics from different angles

the 510 and the 901 are the same, the 801 a different size...mostly hollow in the center...go up to the width of the atty....then cut back down to fit into the atty...and have a groove in that smaller part that has an o-ring on it to keep it snug...

the 306 ones...(that super T doesnt carry but nhaler does) go on the outside of the atty...they're basically a tube with a little build up at the mouth end..

and pipes and stuff of that ilk are normally done out of pyrex...which I believe you can get in rods just like your regular glass...though I believe it's a different gas for your torch (lol well I guess that means a different torch alltogether really since the different gas usually requires a different head)

I dont know about the heat thing. I have to anneal the beads in a kiln at 1500 deg to harden it so I dont think it will hurt the glass but i am not sure how it will work on someones lips. It cant hurt to try and I like trying to make new things. Missy I will try and post a picture.
I dont think there is a problem wit hthe heat from the atty at all .. i know there has been glass drip tips made before and neevr heard of any problems. and would really love to see the pics, thank you!

a drip tip takes the place of the carts/cartos, and u just drip ur juice straight onto the atty. That is what i am currently using. and love it!

Pope -- Piece of electrical tape around the bottle cap, to keep it from unscrewing. Put the bottles in a ziplock, then the ziplock goes into a bubble mailer. Standard US Mail -- they'll tell you the postage at the PO.

I think of the stuff in the bottles as vapor-to-be when asked if there's anything bad in the package :) (There isn't anything hazardous, and they're in a sealed plastic bottle, inside a sealed baggie, inside a mailer -- unless PO is smacking them with drill hammers there's no risk of leakage.)
