I got home, got Ceridwen up... it did not go well. She pushed away from me and loudly exclaimed "I'm not friend ANY .. MORE!!!" and say down with her arms crossed, then turned her back on me... she tossed aside the gifts I brought her and told me to "go away! Shoo shoo!"...

sounds like everyone has had a bad day!! (((HUGS)))) Magnus and Pchela!!!

My day got better after my kids killed my freezer- we FINALLY found room in the other 3 for all the stuff- then, a fire broke out about 1/8 of a mile from my house- electrical lines were knocked over by high wind from an impending storm- and was headed strait for my MIL's house- and our lights went out~!
then I got a phone call that hubbys truck had broke down on the way home from work, and I had to drive THROUGH the fire to go get him.
Gathered up the tools, and extra water to take to him (his thermostat was stuck- 5 minute fix and he was back on the road, took me longer to find the containers for water to tote to him! LOL )

in the meantime, the weather started 4 more fires right close to me- pretty much on all sides. But, now the fires are out, to my knowledge noone lost their home (my cousins, and family friends and all didnt. ) and after about 8 hours, we got our electric back

funny thing, it NEVER rained here- the rain came within 1/4 mile or less of the fire- LOL

The police searched areas and found nothing, then received an annonymous phone call to 'look again' and found her high school letter jacket hanging from a tree limb in plain sight. Someone played with the police, and they never found enough evidence to prove who it was. It was almost a month before she was found, and her death has never been brought to justice. The page was started in the hopes of getting her case reopened.

There is nothing funny about the rain missing you. Both my friend in Katy and another in Austin have reported rain either yesterday or today. Though Katy reported that the trees were singing and reciting lines from the musical Oliver - Please sir, may we have some more and Rain, glorious rain...(instead of food glorious food)

thank you guys! I don't know if it will make a difference or not but it can't do any harm.

We have very few unsolved cases in my town but this one really hit home for a lot of people my age. Rayna was 2 years older than me but I knew her well. There was a lot of evidence pointing to who had done this but not enough to sentence. It's especially sad that the majority of the evidence points to a family member being responsible.

Thinking about what was going on in my life at that time has brought back a flood of memories....my dad was dying of lung cancer and too weak to do much of anything. He gave me permission to take the car even though I wasn't liscensed yet to help with the search party. 3 months later another good friend to me was killed in a car accident. 5 months after that my dad finally gave up his fight. 6 months after that another close friend and an aqquaintance were brutally murdered just blocks from my home. I had seen the killer that night and spoken to my friend Rhonda hours before it happened. To this day I think if the conversation between me and her would have went differently she may still be here. 4 months later a very close friend was killed in a car accident and there is still speculation of whether it was an accident or suicide. All this before I turned 18, and there have been many more losses since then. I've made peace with all of this except for the 'unknown' in Raynas case.

Many of my friends agree that our generation has a bit of a curse. My mom (and other friends parents) are shocked and saddened by the number of funerals my friends and I have attended. Being in my 30's I think it's horribly sad that I've been to over 20 funerals, the majority being for people in their 20's or younger.
