My eventual goal is to shift all the "good holidays" to the end of july/ beginning of august. So I don't have to deal with "Christmas Cheer" and cold weather simultaneously. An added bonus is you just deal with people that you don't really like but are socially obligated to mingle with for a couple weeks instead of several times a year.

Homicide rates might increase the first couple of years after my plan is implemented but after things get sorted it should drop dramatically.

Update on stuff that I've mentioned here:
I quit fitness bootcamp. I'm happily back on the elliptical for 40 mins everyday. I get to listen to my own music, don't have someone yelling in my face and don't have to limp around in pain after each class. When you have trouble getting off the toilet, you're working out too hard.

We are still house hunting. Apparently there's going to be a flood of foreclosures in early 2012, so we've seen house prices drop significantly in the past couple weeks. I get sad seeing all the foreclosures. It's really making house hunting a real downer, when you can't stop yourself from knowing people lost their houses.
Here's an article describing the glut of foreclosures. News Headlines

Hey Keyz!

I hope that you get your GLV back soon! My sweetie/meanie would die if he didn't have his. I tried to take it from his hand when he was drifting off to sleep last night and he grumbled.

He's had it since March and I got to use it once for 3 hours. My back went out and he had to wait on me hand and foot one night. When he said that he'd get me anything that I wanted, I asked for the GLV.

Enid it is bad others lost their house but these things happen and look at it as a chance for you to get a nice house for cheap.

I've been on both sides of this sort of "transaction," and while I still feel bad about "taking advantage" of someone else's misfortune there are a some things to keep in mind:

1) By the time of foreclosure, they've already lost the house and there's nothing you could do to change that. They know that too.

2) If you don't take it someone else will. They know that, the other people looking know that, keep it in mind.

3) If they are selling unwillingly but haven't gone into foreclosure yet, you are doing them a favour by buying it first. No matter how emotional they are, they realize this or they wouldn't be selling. This is actually where I was, and I ended up getting $1000 for my ten years of equity--but that was indescribably better than going into foreclosure.

It all boils down to they've already lost their house and the worst thing you are doing to them is helping out of a horrible situation. It sucks, but it's true.

why do I have a feeling that you're really just a big ol' teddy bear?

gmorning PIF...I return a married man! I was married yesterday At D&B to my beautiful lady of 10 years. I am looking forward to another 60!

Keyzy, you should look into stuffing envelopes or services like cha-cha - they aren't time consuming and once you get fairly good at it you can make a decent amount. I have friends who do both and survive on what they make.
