This struck me as absolutely hilarious, so I'm spreading it around.

I don't mean to be all Debbie Downer but that GIF makes me really wonder about parents. Why would you video your kid tormenting a cat or your cat being mean towards your kid. The GIF is set up as if the kid got what was coming to him but geez as a parent, or any responsible adult, break the two up.

BTW, one of my friends from High School was deathly afraid of cats. When he lived in Chicago, he and his cousin repeatedly poked a mop handle at a stray cat and the cat clawed him up. That's how you end up 6 ′ 2, 250lbs and scared of a baby kitten.

Jordan, I know, we lost ours a few years ago- I still search for stuff that I forgot we never replaced... LOL

Enid, sometimes the parts you see are not the whole story- and I know that my kids have been in that situation. quite a few times I have allowed the animal to deal with the issue. It teaches the kid quicker than me saying no.
:)

But I am a firm believer that a lesson is learned best by doing then hearing.... ;-)

and truth be told, I had a cat once that LOVED Bow, she would FIND him, jump him so he would chase her and then stop in the middle of the room and he would dive bomb her- I mean flat- then he would let her go and she would do it all over again. and no matter what he did to her, she NEVER offered to scratch or bite him. and this hussy would bite you if you walked by her and laughed. At first we were scared- for the cat and for Bow- then we realized, the hussy was teaching HIM to play how she wanted him to.

granted, that kid and cat were not playing- they had a disagreement and the cat won. I bet the kid doesnt hit the cat anymore :)

Speaking of homemade stuff. This is free to a good home. It's a cowl. My friend wanted to learn to knit but wanted us both to work on the same pattern, while she learned. The pattern is called "Wham Bam Thank You Lamb". First person to ask for it here can have it. Then PM me your addy.
It's 20% wool and 80% acrylic, so it's just for people not allergic to wool. The color is called grass green.

Here's the same pattern but folded differently

I'll mail it out sometime this week.
