Well, thank mercy someone PM'd him about it. I honestly don't have a dime in my PP acount and you know Beth will slay me as I sleep if I spend $140 on ANOTHER pv. Not gonna be mine...sadly. :(

Pfffftttttt......not sure I'm believing that one....

:blink::( Sorry Q4....so now what?

It all worked out- cause the marker I moved, to put the dead man in there was the dead mans. I just didnt use first names with the funeral home and they didnt either- I called and said "hey, are you doing that Jones funeral today?" he said "yep, do you know where the plot will be?" - so, it all worked out- :)

Okay- seriously - today has just been one of those days- started out by freaking out about taking away someones grave- Spent the next 2 hours hauling about 2 tons of shotgun shells down 3 flights of stairs, loading them into my truck and then unloading them at another location.

THEN got home, decided to relax, and hubby calls- said he saw a huge coyote crossing the road into the national forrest beside our house- so, I JUST got back from walking the firelane, trying to find the worthless thug- UGGGG... I followed his trail for quite a ways, and its been a while since I had been back there, found 2 toy guns, a few arrows, marbles from the sling shot, 1 sock, 2 shirts and 3 rubber boots- plus, 3 'huts', a blanket, and one of those cinchy backpacks with junk food containers in it.

jumped 3 rabbits, a few squirrels , lizards out the wazoo, and possibly the coyote- but I could just hear him, not see him.

came back through- the goats are grazing by the barn, not a care in the world, the pigs are happy as ... well a pig in the sunshine, and the chickens were under the house scratching.

So, I am going to relax for a few hours before I slave away at Hamburger helper....

I saw a deer in my front yard this morning. The only reason he isn't dead and hanging up in the barn is the police chief was driving by and the sheriff's deputy next door looked at me and shook his head and made the I'm watching you sign.

Rumor has it that that sheriff's deputy shot the deer when I was at work. Bastid...

Well, I HATE dealing with idiots. my grandfather called me, gave me instructions as to where to put the marker for the grave. but NEVER told me WHO's grave it would be- SO- he tells me " go to the JOnes Row (we are a small community, I know everyone, and most folks have a row) there will be Sam and Velma- Then beside them is Georgia, there should be a blank spot there, and then Albert and Joyce. Put the stake in the blank spot, This is Georgias husband they are buring.

Okay, so I get there, and come to find out, there is a marker there for a future grave a guy I know, sammy Joe. Thats what we do- put down a marker to mark our spot. well, my grandfather was out of touch- as was two great aunts, and the illustrious president ... well lets just say me and her dont gee and haw- so I wasnt gonna TRY to find her- and she had thrown this off on my grandfather and then my aunts anyway- but they all ended up with emergancies and couldnt do it, hence ME-

SO, I called the funeral home (again, I know everyone) - and asked them if they knew his wifes name- cause I hated to take someones grave and give it to someone else- that tends to make massive problems. they said yes indeed the deceased was married to Georgia- but again, we never exchanged names of the deceased, so I made the decision to pull up the grave marker, put Sammy Joe by his sister Julia on the next row and stick the unnamed deceased by his wife.

Get home, look on the local website for the community, looking to see about arrests and wrecks that happened today- and low and behold, it WAS Sammy joe that died. so all day I have been beside myself with worry about screwing up someones final resting place, when if my grandfather had just called and said "Hey, did you know Sammy Joe died yesterday?, and can you please go mark his grave for the diggers?" none of this would have happened...

UGGGGG

What's funny is that I TOTALLY understood all of that!

DH's family has a bunch of plots back in the original family church cemetery in central Ohio.

Many years ago his cousin's wife died - her dad was career military, and she had no home town per se, so the family wanted to know if we'd mind if they used a plot for her. We had no idea until then that we'd all had an interest in the plots. Since her hubby wasn't (isn't) dead there was another huge debate over how far over to put her - in case DH's cousin remarried (he has) etc.

The deer know they are safe here. I'm ok with right now because they've left my tulips alone this spring - course I did spray them with Sirachi and red pepper every couple of days to make them not so tasty.

Now the coyote have been snagging the stray cats...and I'll cry if they get the neighborhood stray MoJo.

And will gladly offer up the dang possum and raccoons. They eat my tomatoes. Heck one raccoon even moved my deck cahir so he could snack on the green beans and peas in my container garden on the deck last year. If they neighbor hadn't snapped a pic with her cell phone I wouldn't have believed it!

I have found the ultimate deer and rabbit deterrent and based on the smell, it'd repel almost anything. I bought the tank sprayer for it because there is no way in hell that I'd ever use anything that would come back in the house. It's called Liquid Fence. The deer around here aren't even affected by the hot stuff and to put a fence around .25 acre garden is insane, plus with the rabbits you have to put the fence under the dirt. I've spent so much money on the plants and seeds, that this will never be about gardening to save money.
what's currently alive:
9 indeterminate (produce all summer) heirloom tomatoes
6 determinate (produce all at once- for canning) heirloom tomatoes
6 zucchinis
6 yellow squash
4 cucumbers
9 green beans
9 green cabbage
9 red cabbage
9 broccoli rabi
9 brussel sprouts
18 asparagus
4 bell peppers
2 hot peppers
yellow onions
white onions
acorn squash
butternut squash
basil
rosemary
cilantro
dill

I have SEVENTEEN types of seeds that I still need to put in.

Don't think I want to read the ingredients list for "Liquid Fence"

Wow Enid, either you know where you can get a helper for this garden, or we will hear from you again after November - LOL -sounds great! -I just planted about 3/4 acre of red clover down by the pond to keep them away from my garden next to the house - that kept them pretty darn busy last year - deer and bunnies love than stuff! :)
