Jazz & Lox - we put Konecto flooring in our "man cave" and have been VERY happy with it. Not sure your back could handle the installation Lox, but the minions should be able to do it. It looks like wood but is vinyl. It's commonly used in offices and department stores etc for a wood look without the care. We went with the middle grade.

Umm and Lox - dark wood paneling is....welll, it's dark!

Oh and I love the idea of a door/window with blinds between the glass! Sounds like a worth while investment!

Does everybody remember what they were doing at 13 years old?

My 13 yr old niece just got published. She wrote a fantasy fiction book, first of a series. Banished: The Riddled Stone, Book One. I just bought it on Amazon!

I am so proud of my youngest niece!

That so cool! :2cool:
When I was 13 I was in the bathroom ................ blow drying my hair ......... Yeah that's it I was drying my hair ;) :p

Thanks Laura that's the stuff we were looking at. Jazz says she watched the installation video so she knows how to put a floor down - I know YouTube or it didn't happen :p

For the record I didn't do the dark paneling or the mocha carpet - I just never tore it out. I did shades of beige in the rooms i redid - which I've found out recently women hate

Dang!! Thats amazing!! my 13 year old is sulking in the woods because I wont let him 'date'----

We had dark panaling once- I painted it- (after kilz) and LOVED it.

we put down wood floors too- LOVED them- I miss that house

we did a little propping on the big AC unit, but, not much- LOL

Mornin all!!
Glad your back Keyzy!!

I have 4 days to get clothes packed for 4 people for 12 days, figure out how to pack a 4 door truck with 4 long guns, 3 bows, 500 rounds of ammo, all that luggage, PLUS snacks for an 8 hour trip, (its supposed to rain), and not to mention all the other various crap we got to take-

The boys are still working from 6am-noon every day in the feilds till we leave, and I have at least 3 meetings this week for various committees or organizations.

AND Hubby is putting in 15-16 hour days until we leave- so he is even less help that usual. LOL But the good news is, I finally stopped one of the 'relationships'. We are talking over 5,100 texts in less than 2 weeks- most of them arguing about the girls who are in shooting sports. I text ALOT- and get alerts from facebook CONSTANTLY and do ALOT of business over text, and I have never hit over 4,000 in a month- Hubby and I average abotu 3,000 each per month 15 days in, we are currently at 15,200 - . But this was affecting his shooting, his homelife, his work, and even his sleep schedule. So, I just put my foot down. When you take a kid who shoots and hits 80-85% on average, and recently has been shooting 35-40% then you KNOW something is wrong.

Did the chit chat thread break?

Is ya'll okay? Cause I want to know....

Lets see, what do you call it when you have a ton of stuff to do and a time frame to do it in but you still aren't doing it and wasting time on the internet? Lazy, you say? Hmm, procrastination? Do they make drugs for that? Cause I might get that rx filled sometimes next week, when I get around to it :p

Yay, had my og vv bottom feeder and notcigs vvpv both out for tweaks, they are both on the way back :)

Company had a layoff today, not me but our group did lose somebody. A toughie, this has hit high performing people. With the bizarro-world sequestration still looming on the horizon, it is a weird time in a normally stable field.

Enid - just a warning - we're enablers too! If someone is here you know we encourage you to stay and chat! lol

I personally am soaking up the wonderful weather we're finally having! We hit the pool for the 1st time in over a week. It was too hot and nasty to go out last week. Hoping for some rain - we haven't mowed since May 24th...that is NOT normal for the Blue Grass state. They're going to have to change the name to the brown and crunchy grass state if this continues. lol

Lox & Jazz - DH and I installed the flooring ourselves - renting a heavy floor roller thing (the warranty requires it -so keep a copy of your receipt if you rent one, or take a picture and print it out and keep it with your paperwork)

We installed directly over concrete (basement). We're going to use the leftovers to do the boys bathroom this fall. Not sure how to get a roller in a small space like that, but we'll figure something out!

DH did a ton of research and reading on boards about it. It's been 4 years and we still love it.
