Oh my gosh. Sometimes I seriously don't know if my poor heart can actually take raising a boyo. Anyone got a girl they wanna trade? This boy plays HARD. He was running up and down the hallway a little bit ago and fell on his face. He does that a lot. Immediately he gets up and runs crying to mama - The only time I actually get snuggles is when he has hurt himself. I cradled him and got him laughing again. Trying to calm down my own heart. Everytime he face plants like that I'm afraid he'll knock himself out and I can't imagine anything scarier than watching your kid fall on his face and stop moving. So I let him get back to running around and about 5 minutes later when he's ready for a nap, I pick him up and notice that he has a bloody nose! Not a lot of blood, mind you. It wasn't running down his face, or I'd have noticed it sooner. Just a little splotch under his right nostril. But good lord, seeing your baby bleedin' is enough to make you wanna call 911!!!
He is either going to kill himself or give me a heart attack, I just know it. I'd highly prefer imaginary tea parties over all these bumps and bruises!!
I feel your pain. It's miserable watching them get hurt - but if it makes you feel any better (it won't, but hey it's worth a try) my brother only had 2 ER trips in his life - I took him myself when he broke his hand & my parents were out of town) - however between my sister and I they made 22 ER runs between 1971-1990. My dad swore we had a reserved parking place. And I've only broken my nose (2x) and my thumb. And didn't get stitches until a couple of years ago opening a _____ nerf gun set on Christmas morning for on of the monkeys.
So some girls are scarier than boys ;-) plus muiltiple women in the house tend to end up on the same cycle...picture THAT in 12 years! =:-0
