I was reading somewhere how bad most dog food is for dogs. Anything with corn they can't digest. I was buying the expensive stuff to but read the label and it was mostly corn.
So now I'm obsessive about what I feed her.

we like merrick brand foods for our mutt....it's about midrange in price but it's all the main primary indrediants are meat...and the company just puts out a good vibe

When that pet food scare came out....i actually made my own dog food for quite a while. I would use ground turkey add wheat noodles, peas and carrots and sweet potatoes. I bought staight kibble from some company online.

My dogs are so spoiled.....the love cottage cheese, and i give them cottage chesse on their bowl of food almost every day.

I agree about most dog food not being nutritious. I have a lab that for cheap dog food I can only use beniful or if I really have to cut back alpo prime cuts. all the others like ol roy ect make her loose weight real fast. my poodle is about the same way.
