OK chiming in here. I'm the grump!
I got behind little old man needed 23 money orders. had them all written on a piece of scrap paper. paper was scratched off at least 4 times where he added wrong. lady at PO added them up 5 times for him and showed him 5 times where he added wrong (no I'm not exaggerating 5 times) the difference was $4.85. 23 minutes - adding them up and showing him his mistake - 23 minutes!:grr: then finally he says oh ok just give them to me and I'll add them up myself!
finally 15 minutes later (38 minutes at post office now) the post master opened another line for me. Old fart was still arguing when I left.:grr:

LOL that's great!! how hard would it be to whip out a calculator and say ok, watch this....? lol!!

I'm thankful for Paypal shipping and a small scale. I'm actually a reasonably patient person, but the PO doesn't work well for me -- it's out of the way, and I often work late. Happy to pay that 19 cent tracking fee to not have to deal with the PO. Not having to go to the PO = priceless :)

Where can I get one of these little scales? it would be SO much easier!!

Well, we have those little automated kiosks in our post offices so I don't mind them. If we didn't, I'd definitely do what you're doing.

I don't mind the post office. I just really have a general hatred of postal workers. I find them to be cockier than police officers.

I wish we had those things.... that would be so handy!! I'm surprised they're not more common...

Think I've gone into new phone gridlock. The Samsung Fascinate is attractive for battery life, good screen, size, but negatives in the onboard memory and lack of easy-to-access @ key for e-mail. Droid X is popular, but less good in the areas the Samsung is good at. Ahh, well, time to wait a few more months -- Keep using my little LG Dare totally dumb phone for a while, yet, see what the upcoming Moto Pro is like.

Hey every one :)

We're going to switch to boost mobile at the end of the year when the verizon contract is up. Sam gets a 20% discount with verizon wireless because he works for Jackson Hewitt Tax Services, but it's still really expensive. Unfortunately I think boost only serves the north-east but I could be wrong.

60$ a month, unlimited talk, text and web.

I use Boost. :) I'm thinking of getting the i1 phone. but it runs on the old android OS, and that's why it'll be a pain. but it's only 50 a month for unlimited talk text web and voicemail ou there.

You'r right I just looked... 50$ unlimited talk text and web if you use a Boost phone. BUT you can use Blackberries. I know because when hubby upgraded to the BB Tour, he gave his old BB to a friend of mine, who put it on boost. So, there's always that option. And his BB was originally on Verizon. I don't know if it's only RIM products, but it's worth asking I would think. I am definitely getting the i1. I love the droids.

I hope that I love it to... for 300+ I better love it... lol. couple more paydays until I can afford that though... :( so 3 weeks. when do you make the switch?

Also Sallana, I was going to ask you, where do you go on the paypal site if you want to print shipping lables?

We are switching me right after Christmas. That's when the Verizon contract is up and we get a little extra Christmas cash. I'll sell my phone and buy the i1 used on eBay. (I have a Verizon Voyager, should go for at least 70$)

As for PP, I use a bookmark link on my other PC, but if you find my "Do NOT Use Stamps.Com" thread, I've posted step-by-step instructions on how to use PP shipping tool.
