Sorry I disappeared like that, I went to let the last group of ferrets out and one of them Kipper Dude-daughter's ferret (who was in Wyoming-the state) took a nose dive this afternoon. Because I can't drive again as of yet, had to call Lori to come home and take us both to the Vet. He doesn't seem to be doing any better, We gave fluids at the Veterinarian Clinic ( Used to work there, until I got burned by the OM) and then got home and force fed him some homemade soup (ferret kibble ground up in water - actually pulverized - add some ferretone and ferretvite) give by syringe. We have done everything we can do. Held him for a little bit, ate dinner and put him back in his cage.
I really hopes he perks up soon, our daughter has lost, 4 rescued ferrets (that she claimed as hers or rather they claimed her), 1 Kira dog (her 5 year old cocker spaniel) and Kippers cage mate (pepper) all within the last 18months. This guy is her "special ferret" (her animal soul mate if you would and probably the most calm, happy go lucky ferret I have ever seen and well we have seen alot in our 7 years as a rescue.
Our 13 year old poodle had to be put down last year when daughter was in Las Cruces, NM visiting her grandparents. She missed saying good bye; and now daughter is with my mom going to strafford ON to watch shakespeare plays and yes that was her idea. She really likes to read Shakespeare also.
So please everyone please send thoughts, prayers or energy to the little ferret that he does not pass until Cassi can make whatever decision needs to be made (if any). She is a strong girl, but needs to say goodbye this time. Especially this time.
Bianca thanks for the information on the containers I think we'll be going to BBandB to get some tomorrow. Instead of tackle box or tool box or whatever.
thanks in advance!
