Well I still pull an occasional job here and there to make ends meet, but until and if they can rebuild my back I'm pretty limted. Even at that it'd only be a matter of time....once they start cuttin it don't stop! Least the people few years older I've seen went through same thing as me.....I hold out hope that longer I can put it off, maybe a new way'll come along.......I hear where they are doing that where it's almost like pouring cement between disks now. boB

yeah I would wait. my sister said her hospital was trying something new like that. said maybe a year or so yet.

DLite: did you find anything? There are a ton of things available. I like EM, there is also some sweetner frmo PA, and sucralose, and cotton candy (watered down EM) and marshmellow... depends on how you like your sweet

Sorry Jim got sidetracted. I dunno I've done plenty of them interior and exterior......some can be a pain. When I ran my own business years ago and had short hair I liked doing high end kitchens. The other thing believe it or not I enjoy doing is shingling roofs. That's what did my back in, but I could make money anytime, and I got darn good at it, to the point it really wans't hard work to me. boB

I don't do residential stuff anymore - but when I did I was getting $640.00 for installing a pre-hung + the door price. With all the tools and equipment I have we could do a door in 6 - 8 hours.
I still do 1 here or there for someone I know. But I turn down a lot of them.

No chit?!?! I did most of the doors I did when I subbed for my BIL on insurance work. That's how I got a lot of the Kitchens too. He runs a flooring Co. He'd take the claim for the flooring and if a pipe broke in the kitchen and ruined one cabinet they all got replaced. If they was a basement....well you get the picture, I learned and did a lot ob the fly. He' usually let me have it and take his 20% P&O off it, but dang don;t think I ever got that on a door. boB
