That's so strange... what kinda cigs did you smoke? Tim smoked pretty strong rolling tobacco with prefiltered tubes, but he was OD'ing on 18mg! Seems like the nicotine in juice has a much different effect on him...I can vape 54MG platinum ice PG nic.....when I do that I feel I'm close to what a cig used to give me. boB
LOL! Sounds a lot like "tasting" wine or beer... using words like oaky, buttery, peaty, etc...Frisco doesn't help me.
Actually, it makes me think of either gay people marching or Rice a Roni.
Edit note: Descriptors that help me: sweet, bitter, floral, dirt, ashy, grass, etc.

Heh, some of the juice reviews actually do remind me of a wine tasting. I always giggle a bit at those since I never pick up the subtle nuances I'm supposed to.
Me at a wine tasting:
"Holy crap, that's awful...did you pee in a jar?"
"I think I caught a grape flavor there."
"Battery acid, pure battery acid."

LOL! That's me too. Maybe I could develop my pallate to taste those things, I dunno. But when it comes to wine, it's "that's good, give me some more!" or "blechh" last thing I found that I really loved was a muscat canelli.Heh, some of the juice reviews actually do remind me of a wine tasting. Is TA the tobacco flavoring?Actually, those sound like my first tries at DIY(let's just leave it at my tob1 was "robust" -- do NOT use 10% TA )
Making tobacco flavors is a bit more complex than the sweet flavors, isn't it? Did you find a blend that works for you? How long did it take to work out?Yes, I use the Perfumers Apprentice Tobacco Absolute diluted (diluted means in pure grain alcohol). It's a very strong flavoring, to me, but does really nicely as an adder to other things (just a couple drops per 10 ml in something with Capt Black or Seedman Commercial). I think the PA Kona coffee flavor is similar -- gotta use it gently, as a plus-up not the main flavor.
I would love to go on a wine tasting tour! Although, I don't do it right... I always swallow! (oops, that sounds wrong somehow, doesn't it? lol!)My sister in law has made it a point to drag me through some local wineries (within 2 hours) when she and my MIL come to visit each Summer. I passed this year because they friggin came the weekend before school started for the boys and I had a crapton of things to do with/for them. Of course, not there fault that I'd been a bit preoccupied the weeks before due to my BIL's heart attack(s) and helping my sister.
This year they hit part of the Bourbon Tour (Makers Mark, Heaven Hill and someplace else) and then hit Elk Creek. I still have 2 bottles of wine sitting in my fridge. No idea what to do with them.
How's the little one's teeth today?
Well, that's not too bad of a learning curve! We're looking forward to DIY... you'll have to let me pick your brain again when we get set up.Probably two weeks -- I went too strong, then too weak, close, now I'm pretty happy. I like all of the Seedman Top Note flavorings. For simple tobacco, 15% Seedman Commercial concentrate (not the diluted version), nic to whatever your target is, PG as filler, and 4 drops of the "TA diluted" per 10 ml of final mix. If you really want lots of vapor, no more than about 10% VG, maximum -- I'm content with the vapor, like the taste and TH, even with 0 VG.
Not sure what the coop is buying for TA -- I hope it's the diluted version.
