It is propane with an oxygen regulator. I melt glass with it and make beads. Ive had this torch for over a year and never had it spit before. I just went ahead and took it all apart and threw the hoses over the patio to drain and cleaned the ports good. I will put it back together tommorow and it will hopefully work ok. It probably is some kind of condensation. I figured being a welder you would have some suggestions.

refillable propane tanks get a lot of contaminants in it - I will see if I have a filter next time I'm over in the warehouse
