@Keyzy.. I try to keep up a positive attitude as well but it's really hard with a pill poppin stepmother who astounds us all every time she opens her mouth lmao

We so have the same family except it's not my stepmom. I am often amazed at what goes for socially acceptable conversation topics once they've taken the meds and the rest of my family members act like nothing happened.

Well finally someone I can relate to lol! What is great is that her children and parents will both roll their eyes constantly at the things she says but even though we are all laughing on the inside and after she is gone we have to keep a straight face while she is there or she gets her feelings hurt. I wonder if after she sobers up she realizes how dumb she actually sounded rofl. I wouldn't make fun if she actually had an issue that required pain pills but she is one of those people that goes to the doctor just to get pills, not because anything is actually wrong.
My family just acts like it doesn't exist. Ignore it, change the conversation and smile for the camera.
