Morning all,

Listen, I'm not sure where to post this so, if this is inapproprate please excuse my ignorance. I've never belonged to a social group on the net and am learning the ropes. I want to thank a few people who have popped around here and there pointing out my mistakes while redirecting me.

Maya's Veil,I grok your name. Maya = illusion
Hindu or Buddhist? If you don't mind me asking :)
I'm kinda Advaitic with a hint of Bhakti but I love comparative religion. I have great love for Carl Sagan, Alan Watts and Amma (Mata Amritanandamayi).

I had a lover who was a devotee of Amma and discovered her on her first trip abroad and he has traveled around the globe to see her and be with her. I think she is a wonderful human being but the whole devotee thing just isn't my thing. I believe we are all Buddhas, and some of us have more muck on us than others.

And wishing everyone at PIF a Wonder-filled day!!!!

I just dripped some VR strawberry shortcake in an atty that had SA sweet tea and I am in a cloud of vaping heaven - and I don't like fruit vapes! This is amazing!

I only like one fruit vape currently (Strawberry Pie) and I mean I REALLY really like it. :) VR has one I liked a while back, Prickly Pear, have you tried that?

I mixed together a DIY strawberry shortcake from a recipe by Nikhil (PureVapes) which is posted at ejuicemeup and it is one of my favorite vapes. It is the only berry vape that I've tasted so far that I like.

BM - Haven't tried a pear vape yet - I tried a LOT of fruit vapes in the first few months and liked none of them, but I keep revisiting the ones I haven't PIF'd to see if my tastes change. I like Ms T's caramel apple, but I think that's the mix that does it - like this - the sweet tea w/strawberry. I ordered a 30ml bottle of the sweet tea today, and yours made it to the mailman btw :)

LR - are there other fruit vapes that you like?

Sallana, let's do a fark-off, what say?

(um, I read this back and it may look odd - farking is a word sometimes used for manipulating images in photoshop - I used to work for Adobe, and we often had fark-offs during down time)

That sounds fun.. how do we play?

We pick a theme, say, an artistic version of your name in print, or a pic of yourself or someone we both know made to look like a zombie or fairie (we used to do our boss quite a bit) - just something that sounds like fun to you :) then we come back and post the results later. Not a contest thing - just for fun and to hone our skills.

Here's an example (wet cat theme) http://www.justsaypictures.com/funny-wet-cat.html

Lois,

Wow, never thought that I'd have this convo on an ecig forum. I'm not really into the whole devotee thing either, so my love for Amma took me by surprise. Head-wise, I'm more into Adyashanti and agree with your "I believe we are all Buddhas, and some of us have more muck on us than others". Heart-wise, I just turn down the volume and watch the Amma darshan videos. I just love watching her hug people. I can feel love just by watching her.

I've seen your beading in the art thread. Would you like some carved yak bone beads? They are the eight auspicious symbols of Buddhism. Perhaps, you could fix them up and find them a good home. They were once a bracelet and a necklace. The elastic and strings are all worn out over the years.

Yay, rebuilding a hoosier cabinet today (beats moving snow) :)

Been there done that! DH ended up buying a tabour board (roll top portion) off another hoosier cabinet in sorrier shape than one we have in order to fix it.

We actually spent part of the day at an antique store to see if the guy had any good deals - DH is avoiding rebuilding the chairs slated as his next project because he's going to have to turn new pieces for the legs and runner on 4 of the 6. Plus he just likes to admire the craftmanship of old.

This is a painted one. Rebuilt the base, replacing the bottom, and at least one of the two side panels will be replaced (i expect to actually replace both)

We have nice paint for when it is done, but I am rebuilding most of the bottom unit. Lot of work, but it makes wifey happy :)

Oh my Enid, Thank You! I would love to try to recreate a setting for these stunning beads! I have some beautiful stone beads that I can tie into these. If there is anything you need, please let me know!

And yes, watching Amma hugging away is incredibly moving. :)
