Afternoon all!

I've been one busy fool.

I too am a fool for the sparkly. I bought the boys light up hula hoops a couple of years back. NOT adult size. I think they were $10 each. The youngest loved them - the other 2 looked at me like I'd grown another head. They were so past the sparkly stage.

DS#1 is thinking he wants to get a degree in Computer Engineering. Any idea 1) what they do and 2) how the job market is? He's still in high school, but only 2 schools in KY offer it. Trying to figure out who to send his ACT scores to. He's funny. He had to register for next years classes and asked if I minded is he passed on AP Spanish 4 so he could have a study hall - his first ever. He's taking 5 AP classed and one elective (web design) - heck yeah he can have a study hall. Have I mentioned his gets his brains from his dad ;-)

Hi all, I am one hurting puppy today, waiting for the pain killers to kick in. Hubby had to drive back to Arizona to get some of our stuff and had been gone for 2 days and I don't handle that very well. Haven't been able to eat or sleep, I finally passed out 5 am this morning and didn't hear my alarm, the dog walker or hubby calling me. Scared him really bad cause he couldn't get a hold of me. I hate myself for being so damned dependent on everyone else.

Computer Software Engineers and Computer Programmers
Out of my college friends that are graduating this term, the first person to get a 80,000k+ offer is in Computer Informational Systems/ Website Usability.

You should speak to someone else in the computer engineer market. The offical job outlook looks good but outsourcing is occuring in the field. Outsourcing: Is It a Threat? | Engineering

This is seriously a hard world to choose a degree in. Most of my friends are back on their second degree, as the job market fell out in the first one. I hate to sound like someone should choose their choice of study just based on how much a job pays but I have sooo many friends with degrees that get them NOTHING.

Mercy had a dual degree in Physics and Math and couldn't get a job. She ended up going to Sweden because they will PAY for her to get her PHD and provide free medical care. They also hope that she stays in Sweden. She has a job in a nano lab while in school because even if she went to a Uni in the US (and paid for it) the state of funding for science labs is cut. Your future job depends so much on what type of lab research you did in college. I hate to sound dire but I have friends with PHDs working as professors at Technical Colleges for less than I made in retail in 1998.
