okay- My mail runs around 12:30ish-

I sent a kid to the mail box at 12:26 to check it- He is not back yet- and its 12:41- I am started to get scared he was kidnapped, what if someone got him? right as he was checking the mail, someone drove by, reached out of an open van door, grabbed him up and he is currently fighting with them ??

He will end up getting away- but he is SOOOO forgetful he will forget my juice in the back of that dark and scary van-

actually- after remembering which kid I sent---- there is a good possibility that he got halfway to the mailbox, saw a squirrel or rabbit and is now 3 miles off in the woods trying to remember what I sent him after and if I told him he had to be home at a certain time......

OR GOD HELP me if he decided to try and catch another bluejay- It will be HOURS before he remembers he was on a mission- Then he will walk to the store and get me a Dr Pepper- because he will forget what the mission was....

mark - but what is it in your office now?!

cloudy - sunny, cloudy, sunny, cloudy - with wind! here

DS#2 is gone for the next 2 nights with his 8th grade class on a retreat/team building thing. Severe storms predicted tomorrow - I sent him with a flash light and his best friend's mom is a chaperon...focusing on not worrying about him ;-)

I'm also excited about Lisa's mod.
My sweetie/meanie's 5 volt box broke so I had to buy him another 5 volt mod and I picked the GLV2. I got so excited about everyone else's mods that I ended up buying myself a used buzz. I can spend hundreds of dollars on vet bills and countless other things but when it comes to buying something for myself, I always talk myself out of it. I rationalized the purchase by telling myself that it's been over 6 months since I've smoked a cig, so I deserve it.
I just hope that I didn't buy a dud from the classys. The 5 volt box didn't even last two weeks but it was long enough to tell that Jeff loves 5 volts.

Lisa - any news on the mod?

I got a huge kick out of your vaping in public pics!

Hi Dark,

I just got email from them and they clear coated it and are in process of mailing now. hopefully will have it end of week or beginning of next week. It's been quite a wait but I think worth it to get the colors and etchings I want.

I've read that the ego/riva range from 3.2 to 3.7 volts. It's werid but I don't like the ego/riva with the lr atties or lr cartos but I like most flavors on the old 5volt box and passthrough, which isn't really 5 volts because I'm using it on my laptop.

The sheer amount of stuff to read about when deciding on a mod is cra-zay. I almost got Jeff a provari but he already thinks that ecigs are too complicated (versus smoking), so I wanted to make it super easy, hence the GLV2. It doesn't have any dials and is 5 volt regulated.

You guys and all your mod talk has me checking them out more. lol

Anyone tell me what a riva/ego hits at - I see 3.7 and 5 and my eyes roll back in my head

Not only that but you can use virtually any atty/carto on it, LR, HV it doesn't matter. The GLV has a brain that delivers the perfect vape! Don't ask me to explain it, there's a video about it somewhere.

Vendors could use a variety of things as a preservative in their juice. They could use antioxidants (vit c) like Geoff mentioned to slow down or stop oxidation of the VG, antimicrobial compounds or synthetic preservatives. The goal would be to stop juice from going bad. Light, heat, air and human contamination would increase the time in which juice would go bad.
I would think that naturally sourced and artifical flavors as well as VG would degrade over time. As long as they used food safe preservatives, I wouldn't worry. I think that this is one of the times where I would feel more comfortable with the people who make e-liquids having some sort of science background. There's a lot of options in terms of preservatives and I'd like to trust the people making the choices. Even if a company thinks that they are using a "natural" preservative, they may be using a synthetic. Grapefruit seed extract - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia And when you consider what we are learning about preservatives (parabens) in body care products that are absorbed transdermally and may be associated with breast and reproductive cancers*, I think that the science background sounds even better.
Not to be a scaremonger because we WERE smokers and that didn't stop us but I like to think that when we made that choice that it was a first step to making even better choices. Right now, what I'm doing is supporting with my money the companies who answer questions and who seem to be the brightest out of the bunch. People who don't see a question as a confrontation but to explain why they do the things that they do and to learn what their customers think is important.

*Paraben - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

And while I'm ranting.. someone who encounters criticism of their company about only one size for sale and then turns it into a witch hunt on some other un-named companies who may or may not be using preservatives.

I don't want to post a thread about this but I'm really curious, hopefully someone will know.......

what would vendors use as preservatives in juice and should this bother me or not???!!!
