okay- I just finished the chicken spagetti- OMG- and I am a VERY picky eater- I dont eat ANY ethnic foods, except mexican, - If I go out to eat I get either a) steak and lobster or b) chicken fried steak - unless its a mexican food rest. Then its fajita's or beef fajita nachos'.
I dont eat 'home cooking' anywhere but at home- dont take me to a resturant and expect me to eat pot roast or chicken and dumplins. I make my own, (and i am VERY picky about my chicken, dont let me find a tendon in there...) I will get a baked tater or salad, and will eat various things like breakfast foods- or hamburgers.
anyway- i am a meat and potatoes kind of gal- we do eat either spagetti or stuffed bread at least once a week, and mexican food either taco's fajitas or homemade enchalada's ever week. and every few weeks we have velvetta and rotell dip with sausage in it for lunch/supper- other times its a meat (usually pork or chicken), veggies (fried if I can swing it), biscuts or cornbread (homemade of course), and thats it. Nothing fancy, or exotic, and sure as HELL nothing weird. (chances are if we cant kill it in the woods or out of one of our pens, we dont put it on the table...)
anyway- chicken spagetti, for those who asked me is basicly velvetta cheese dip, with egg noodles, cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup and a boiled and shredded chicken (like you were making dumplins) all mixed together, and baked. I have it sitting on the counter right now, waiting to put it in the oven, and i made an ENTIRE huge roasting pan full, and my kids wont stop eating it- I have to fiqure out what type of bread to make with it- yeast rolls would be best- but I dont have time- I think buttermilk biscuts will be too heavy, and I am not sure about corn bread. I might make some tortillias to go with it. its not mexican by any stretch, but I also eat tortillias with other things -
anyway- VERY seldom do I eat new dishes, I am a very picky eater, but I really do like this.
