Good morning PIF :) Been working 12 hour days at a temp job so haven't been around for a bit - hope everyone is doing well, safe from the storms, and healthy! I finally pulled the trigger on a Blue Crush mod - this thing is very pretty, and vapes great, but it's HUGE! I can't even get my hand around it lol - I remember when my eGo felt enormous! Of course, I have little hands, so it may just be me. It sure is pretty though - the depth of color is amazing - now if I could just shrink it...

so it's going to cost me $75 more to get a flight out of South Bend instead of Chicago~!! Tony will drive me to South Bend but he won't go near Chi town, and I'm sure it would cost me as much in public transit to take the train/taxis to the airport. Arggg, I'll be selling everything I've got~!

I decided to make it a week long visit. Flight costs the same whether I'm there 3 days or a week and Shane and Jen are more than happy for me to stay there. Woo-hoo, I've never seen the ocean before!

Nope, it's a 3.7 with 14500 batt - but with a LR carto it vapes my Sweet Tea really great - haven't tried any 'creamy' flavors yet. I think the cr2s will fit for 6v but that's a little too harsh for me - do they make HR cartos?

Good morning Sensay, and belated happy birthday! :bday:

Woohoo Lynlee! Sounds like a great trip, and worth the plane fare :)

Keyzy, how is hubby doing?

Nice mod girl! Yeah, it will do 6v too...and HV cartos are out there. :) That mod is just a little bit thinner than the GoldDigger...but same length I believe. The blue is very pretty!

Q: Flavorings taste different depending on the supplier. Some great reading and tips are in Nikki's tutorial. It's a great place to start. After that you can head over to the DIY subforum or always feel free to ask questions on our own little PIF DIY thread!

Those will get you started.. there's oodles more info when you need it.

Still using the attys with the eGo, the subtler flavors don't stand up to cartos, and I drip too wet to use with mods, it'd get all over the place - I have a drip shield, but I got the 510 extender instead of 901/510 adapters, so it drips right through (doh!). But - the cartos are great for my TV and SA flavors!

Hubby is doing great Atsirk,Thank you for asking.Better everyday!

Best news I've heard all week !!!{{{(((Keyzy)))}}}!!!

It is really pretty! Looks like a highly polished blue granite, but very light. The picture really doesn't do it justice. I can't imagine the size of the Gold Digger, but I can sure imagine the looks - the acrylic is a great medium. Still loving yours?

One of my all day vapes is a strawberry shortcake concocted by Nikhil and given to ejuicemeup prior to his opening PureVape. The recipe is at the site and tells you what you need to make it with the correct percentages. It's made mainly with FlavourArt flavoring which can be bought at ecigexpress.com for less than anywhere else.

This is a great site for learning DIY and the free software is easy peasy. Once you download the software you can open up the recipes. I hope this helps!

Thank you- I will bookmark this~

The strawberry is simple. A bit of PG or VG USP to help cut the nicotine level, plus strawberry flavoring. For VG, you can buy Glycerine USP at many drug stores (Rite Aid, Walmart. etc), typically in the area near bandaids -- it should be a clear 6 ounce bottle, just say Glycerin USP Skin Protectant, and the only ingredient should be glycerin USP 99.5% anhydrous (or higher %).
For flavorings, The Perfumers Apprentice (TPA) has some good stuff, though right now I'm using NaturesFlavors (to do some PG-free mixing).
Typically run 10% flavoring to start (3 ml out of 30 ml), though for single flavor mixes in 0 PG I often go to 20 % (6 ml in 30).
See if anyone is running a TPA coop. At 20 - 25% you get a strong flavor even in PG free.
Happy to send you a bit of strawberry flavoring if you want to give it a try.
What's your nic juice strength? What's your desired final nic level?

okay- my nic strength is 18-24 and I usually go with higher PG like 80/20 because I heard that you get better flavor with PG than VG- but I am not sure it matters-

isnt the PG the stuff I buy a the feed store?

the nic I have is 50per ml and its 50/50 pg/vg

and so I need to buy the flavors off the net and not from local walmart or such- like the extract I have wont work that I use on my cakes.

SO- if I want to mix up a bottle of strawberry I would put in
3 ml strawberry
25ml of my nic juice
25ml vg or pg.

that would make a 33 ml bottle of 25mg strawberry juice?

okay- according to the calculator I would need
15 mg of my nic juice
12 of VG, PG or a combo of both
and
3 drops of strawberry

because my first example equals 53ml of juice not 30. UGGGGGGGGG LOL

You pretty much have it. Generally use things from online places that are popular with DIY people -- they don't have excess sugars or bad chemicals (things that may be safe to eat, but not to vape).

Starting from 50 mg/ml base, yes, you need to cut it 1:1 to end up with 25 mg/ml. Subtract off how much flavoring you use (for instance 3 ml of strawberry), and that tells you how much filler to use (plain VG or PG). PG USP can indeed be bought from many Tractor Supply stores -- around $22 for a full gallon, I've heard. (I buy smaller amounts from DIY shops, generally about $1/ounce, just pick it up when I buy nic liquid). If you use VG, you can thin it with a little distilled water (normal grocery store distilled) or high proof unflavored vodka or PGA; I use 160 proof vodka, since it's available in NY.

I use about 20% flavor, but some drops are more flavorful, some less.

As to your cake making flavors... YES! Those, if I'm not mistaken you *can* use, depending on the type/content of the drops. If for instance, they are Loranns, then most of them are ok... if they are just McCormicks (which I'm guessing, no) then it would be a waste of time because they are too diluted. That guide I linked above, will list the different brands and which are safe to use of each.

Also: my favorite VG is Wiltons. Yummy. It's a little pricier, but I prefer it!

I have a quick question. If a person does not hold up their end of a trade, where is it reported. I did not get stiffed, but surely did not get what was offered. It is no big deal, I just wanted to know.

I would try contacting the person first... it's *possible* that it's just a misunderstanding or miscommunication. If that doesn't resolve the issue, then by all means.. contact one of the PIF moderators!!
