Great minds.... I'm compiling my list - we're very close to CVG but there are a handful of other rental agencies.

We were going to rent directly from Toyota (about 50% of the dealerships do rentals also) but none of our locals ones have a van avail that week. We're currently looking at buying a Sienna or (another) Odyssey (wahhh) but aren't ready to buy - mostly because our van has not truly died. We know it's dying, but (my favorite movie line evah) it's "not dead yet" (but not feeling better lol)

Out of left field... if you're ever renting in Europe, look for an Alamo or National location. For some reason that I forget, they rent to Americans at a ridiculously lower price than the main European rental agencies. Same cars, 1/3 - 1/2 the price. -Magnus
Just don't try to sneak into Prague for lunch if you rent from Alamo. There's nothing more unnerving than having your dad disappear into the guard shack at the Czech border for more than 3 hrs. Luckily he was able to convince them that he was not aware when he rented the car that we weren't allowed to take it into the Czech Republic because the contract was in German. At least they didn't stop us at the German border on our way back. They said "Alamo?" and waived us through.

I almost suggested it too - but then I remembered your poor back and hips. :-(
We installed plank flooring and when we hit the lottery are putting hard wood in on the first floor - except the kitchen.

I just recently gave away my walker. I asked my neighbor if she knew anyone in her church who needed one and she said yes, a 91 y/o lady sure could use it. Then she got this puzzled look on her face and said "Now...why do YOU have a walker??" And I told her about my hip replacements. She said she had no idea...guess I get around pretty good on these fake hips. :) Yeah... but not good enough to install flooring. For sure my back would suffer greatly too. I'm accepting the gift graciously and with a huge smile on my face. :D

Hi everyone! I just wanted to stop in and update on our Afghanistan pkg :) I will be baking and mixing the last few items to go in the box this weekend and it will go out on Tuesday. I really can't thank everyone enough for pitching in and making this such a nice gift box for our army friend! I think that he will be very pleasantly surprised :)
