Congratulations on your success.

Don't forget to reach out to the NRA and GOA. They do grants for such things.

If you're setting up a skeet range then Beretta has given generously to other ranges in the past for some signage and set number of demonstrations on-site.

This last one I say w/ reservation, not because they're not good, but it usually means a single member or two becomes heavily involved. Safari Club International (SCI) local chapters. Especially in Texas. There is some ridiculously big money in those circles. If you can find a local owner of a Westley-Ricards droplock then you'll find more sponsors.

Good luck, -Magnus

THANK YOU magnus!!!!

I have Beretta on my list of letters to write- and I am a committee member of the FNRA here in my town, - The GOA - what is that? I am ashamed to not know.

Thank you for the info on the SCI- they are on my list too- I would love to have them sponser us, but will have to look long and hard at their conditions. :)

((((THANK YOU))))))

trouble that is just terrible:cry:
Sad day in Billings and surrounding area.

We still have a beautiful "Big Sky", but it seems there's been an oil spill in the Yellowstone river:(

Exxon's pipe that was buried under the river burst. They were able to close it off, but the damage is done. Of course, it's Saturday with no local news. Most of us just woke up wondering why the Hell everything smelled like diesel fuel. I hope nobody's dumb enough to light off the fireworks around it.

Daisy, if there were not 3 kids over there, I'm sure the police would have been involved, but unlike the woman who destroyed 3 years of love and labor, Karen has consideration for people. Honestly, the more Beth and I think and discuss this, the madder and sadder for Karen we get. I walked down there last night, "walking my puppy", just to get a look at it...brought me to tears.

On a happy note: HIIIIII!!!! :D We're having a nice morning here. Beth is about to leave for work, the baby is in a lovely mood and all the critters are fed and sleeping. Most importantly, I have coffee and vapor. YAY LIFE IS GOOD!

Gun Owners of America.

And make sure you hit the Dallas chapter and other regional chapters of SCI.

I completely forgot that you've got Boy Scout ties so you're looking there, right?

And CZ USA... don't forget them.

Bianca, I've been meaning to ask..... what is the history of the squirrel? -Magnus

Well, I rasied this one a few years ago:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/87267225@N00/148742009/http://www.flickr.com/people/87267225@N00/

He was just the sweetest thing. Anyway, the evil squirrel started with a picture that Lox posted:
squirrel-whip.jpg

I made it my avi and started telling PIF members that it had their addresses and GPS and that if they didn't behave, I'd send it! I think it was markfm that named it "Whippy"...so it's just gone on from there. The squirrel is mean, rabid and has a drinking problem...not something you want showing up at your door...it keeps PIF kids playing nice. :p

hey all!

Grass has been mowed. A/C didn't appear to be working at Church this morning. Not good when you sit in the choir loft (and none of sing in the choir - we just like the view (lol) Our church is designed with extra seating up there and when DS#3 was little we started sitting there because he could see and behaved much better, so now it's "our spot" lol. It's true - heat rises.

BIG plans include hair cuts for the boys. lol

Information I found on squirrel life span: Squirrels in captivity have lived to be twenty years old. Most Gray squirrels will die before their first birthday, not due to predators or the lack of food. But by being run over by vehicles. If they survive their first year, they should live five or six more years.

My Tucker was released via "soft release" where I let him play outside durring the day (starting at 3 months of age), then went out and called him in at dusk. One night he stayed outside all night. Came home the next day...stayed out the next two nights..and so on until he stopped coming back at all (he was 7 months old at this time). I believe he found a nice girl and went off to make some baby Tuckers. ;)

too cute chelle2!!!

well poo- about a week ago I realized I was down to 2 pink Riva's. I cant find one- I dont know what in the hell I did with it- But its NOT here- its not beside my chair, its not in the kitchen, its not in my truck. I guess I just lost it.

I was SOOOO used to having my 3 pinks for the daytime with 2 or 3 juices going- and then my 2 black ones in the bedroom with atties and cinnabomb in them (cause cinnabomb KILLS my clearo's. )
WHERE is my 3rd pink riva? I was almost caught with dead batts earlier.. UGGGGG... thats scary!!

Okay- whine over- back to writing my letters begging for money :)
