last year a friend of mine did an opening anthem with his acappella choir for them. So glad he got to see them. I grew up in a military town, so I saw them a few times growing up. Such skill. If you ever get the chance, the army does a great howitzer firework show. Unbelievable how you can turn a machine designed for slaughter into something beautiful in both cases.

I used to work on those aircraft - they would start shipping gear to fix to our shop way before they showed up - my crew had a reputation for repairing the systems on them better than the other ones around, so we got some extra work.
But great folks (at least back then - its been a while) and still one of my favorite aircraft!

Anyone planning on watching the shuttle launch today? I'm trying to find out if they think they'll have to scrub it or not. My sister in-law, niece, & nephew are there to see it (they live in the area) and one of my mommy site friends planned her vacation around it. We're suppose to be at the orthodontist at 11:26 for launch time.
