I was around a bunch of folks smoking yesterday- every once in a while I would smell it and OH GOOOODDDDDDD I wanted one. But not freak out want one- more like - walking through walmart and smell the strawberries and want one.

Hey all - back from the beach!! It was awesome. No family fights or drama (at least none that I got sucked into). No sunburns (major accomplishment with Ginger children) and DS#2 got the best Tee shirt - "I'm Perfect and a Ginger!"

Gotta tell you - the 17hour drive sucked. seriously. and based on watching many drivers over the past 10 days, Darwin was wrong.

And on the way home we stopped at Cracker Barrel (thought of you Magnus) outside of Cleveland TN. As I was paying the bill, the daughter of the family in front of us asked what time they'd be getting home. Her mom replied. I realized from the time that they had to live close to us so I asked. they did. They actually live in the same community my sister lives in. They asked where we stayed and it turns out they stayed 2 miles away from us. For some reason the name of their condo rang a bell - turns out my nephew knows this girl! He had begged his mom (he's 14) to let him walk to the girl's condo (they go to school together). So there I was 5 hours from home and one the road for 12 hours and I meet someone who knows my sister and nephew. go figure.

And speaking of smoking (no I didn't!!) but dang someone was having a smoke on their balcony and the smoke drifted my way *snnnnnif* why did it smell so good? But the woman next to me at the grocery this afternoon stunk of smoke in a bad way?

Good Morning everyone. Its nice and muggy here. Humidity in our a/c house is 60%. Outside it is about 80%, and its been drizzling off and on. I dont even want to know what the temp is supposed to be today.

Went to my job today at 5am, Life would be a lot easier if husbands believed their REALLY do know what they are talking about when they report mechanical issues...

Kids are in bed. I need to find a way to get 100mg caffeine into my PV. Espresso is pretty good with enough milk, caramel and sweetener...but I could do without it if I could get it all in a vape that tasted right!

2 hours of sleep, and I've got sssooooo much work to do here....Clean the outdoor dog run is #1 priority- before it floods again.

I have no clue. I have other friends who post stuff like I'm looking to buy a wooden bookshelf, if anyone has one they don't need but it seems like the better off they are, the more they expect free stuff and customer service to boot.

Half of them started with nothing, like me, and are better off from smart thriftiness and hard work. I had 2 full time jobs in high school and it sucked, but I made it through. I paid for my own school and worked my .... off to go through 5 1/2 years of courses in 13 months. I have a nice house (still fixing things and upgrading of course), but can't afford a car, buy things on sale, and opt in for freebees whenever I can. Half the reason the wealthy stay wealthy is by not changing the lifestyle that made them wealthy.

My friends always pick on me for saying "You can get that from xxxyyy dollar store" when they are saying that they need to pick something up. Although I make decent money now I do what I can to reduce costs so the money I do have to spare can be "Fun Money" instead of additional groceries or expenses. I do have to agree that asking for a free house is nuts. I am betting they were having an affair and could not justify the expenses to their obviously better half.

I'm not your favorite uncle but... I think you should look at Bruichladdich, Bunnahabhain, Yamazaki, and Highland Park (my personal favorites all come from HP). At a minimum you should look into the tasting sets from Master of Malt (Tasting Sets - Master of Malt - Master of Malt). I keep indecent amounts of Scotch around, some rum, one particular absinthe, and lesser-known beers. Everything a growing boy needs. -Magnus

LOL, we have a fairly well stocked bar at home (finally) with 10 different ciders (I love drinking apple juice until I fall off the barstool)
6 scotches, 5 vodka's and a mixture of other liquors - generally a bottle of whatever my friend x drinks. Nice to know I won't be stocking anything new if you stop by. XD

Spanish saffron is just cheap anywhere in comparison to a good Iranian or Northern Indian saffron. And the end-result is completely different. The high, if you're into that thing, is much stronger w/ Iranian saffron too. However, do not vape it... just don't, ..

On the other hand, saffron on deviled eggs is quite excellent. -Magnus
