Hey guys! Check this out!
My husband has this... as best as I can describe it - Tin foil tape. It's a technician thing. I have no idea what it's true purpose is to be honest. But he has a ton of the stuff. And I thought I would play with it today. It's literally sticky tin foil. Like a huge roll of tin foil.. that's tape... So, I have this pink ego...
That is awesome because it's an eGo. But also, it's pink. I'd been looking for a way to fix that little problem. At first I just experimented with the tape in general. And wrapped it around the eGo. It worked VERY well. It stayed on there extremely well, and the best part is that it peels clean off without leaving behind any sticky residue whatsoever. So I thought I'd get a little inventive.
I took a dead pen, and made marks in the foil...
I did it quick because it was just a little experiment. You can really do any sort of design you can think of.. from tribals to letters. It's extremely impressionable.
It turned out pretty awesome...
Not the best art in the world... but I think you can see where I was going with this. I rolled the ego over my desk to smooth out the foil and the markings stayed put, too. This is some really awesome stuff that you can use to dress up your PV's without worrying about a mess when you want to remove it. Granted.. it only comes in the one color, and I'm not really sure if there's a way to add color to it.. but still, it's pretty cool, right?
I'm going on Vacation tomorrow but when I get back I think I'll give some of this stuff away just for fun. It's really entertaining to play with!

Here's a better shot of the finished product. I cut the original piece long, wrapped it around the eGo, then used an exacto knife to trim it to the right size..

It may be tape for duck work or pluming some sort. I have some aluminum tape here I'm so trying this! 5stars innovative...
That stuff is awesome... I've only ever used it for HVAC purposes, but it's the stickiest stuff around for sealing up a duct. Very creative thinking on using that
You can get copper tape too but it's pretty expensive.

Thanks!! I've been told so many times to just sand the pink off of it. But I REALLY hate the feel of sanding and the sound. This is a much better option for me

goggle MYLAR TAPE all colors and patterns don't know if you can draw in it but still cool...
polyester films, and some colored aluminum too if you look...

I have, I've used the 1.5ohm and 2.0ohm, and I have 2.8ohms that are supposed to be replaced after a shipping error. And I have 2.2ohm on order. So these are just spare, I won't use them at 1.8ohm so I figure I should give them away. -Magnus

Sal- TOOO COOL!!! thats REAL ducT tape- not ducK tape- which is actually what I USE on my DucT's because they are plastic covered because they are insulated ducTs and not ones that we had to construct- But I have used that tape for constructing ducTs. just be careful you think a paper cut is a ......... UGGGG

Magnus- Honestly, I got out what I really felt I wanted/needed- and the fire is 80% contained right now- they are pretty much wetting the areas they DONT want to burn and letting it burn out in the hunting club. the hunting club is literly across the road from me- but they have a few hugemoungous bulldozers and a chinook copter and are plowing lines and dumping 2,000 gallons of water at a time on the unburned stuff to keep it from burning
and I know how you feel- at 4am Jan 9, 2005 my husband and I were woke up by our fire alarms- We got out with the kids and the dogs, got our trucks and that was literly IT-
We sat in the neighbors front yard (along with the entire neighborhood) and watched the house burn to the ground. This time we sat on our porch with family and friends and watched the neighborhood burn down. LOL (no houses were lost- Thank GOD)
I FINALLY found my Riva Charger today- I had stuck it in my favorite pair of boots- but had been wearing my mud boots since we evac'd and couldnt remember putting it there. LOL
I have GOT to get a backup. LOL
Now, I am fixing to decide if I should teach someone in my own small town how to use fondant and make it from scratch- she is 'opening her own cake shop and would like some help ' uhhhh... thats how I make MY living-

wait - she's opening a cake shop and has never used fondant? Hmmmm. Not sure how I'd feel about arming the competition.

I have played with it a lot ...covered lighters,boxes & stuff ..etc.
the colors of "sharpie markers" looks great on "it" but wears off ...
the indention's will smooth out over time/handling too ...great stuff tho .
looks good on the ego hmmmm may need to go play with that ...
