When I first came to the US, on my first trip to NY, I took a bus over from State College, PA. It was horrible. Horrifying. When I hear students talk about talking the bus back home I quickly offer to see if I can book them a train instead. Train++ ... -Magnus

Have to agree with everyone .. Bus sucks. But .. you might want to check airfares too, last time we checked, (a couple months ago) it was cheaper to fly to Washington State than it was to take a train. How messed up is that?

Are you talking about going to Vegas? 'cuz I don't think Amtrak even goes there ... you would have to take a bus from salt Lake City, I believe. And if you are going to Vegas, you can usually find a cheap airfare on one of the smaller airlines. Sometimes a package deal .. .weekend in Vegas for $200 or something.
