I drove the 12 hours to Vapefest Philly; plus a few hours actually since I detoured up into New York for an early lunch with Sallana.....that hungover drive home on Sunday was torturous~!!! I just can't afford the cost of a rental plus gas again. A relaxing train ride sounds great! Plus I have a new hobby, I'll make scarves for everyone to pass the time

i used to make those marathon drives and motorcycle rides. anymore i try to avoid anything more than 5-6 hours. A train or plane ride is definitely worth the extra cost in my opinion, since with gas prices up it may actually be cheaper. But having taken a few bus rides over the years I would rather walk or ride a bicycle than take greyhound !

The only reason that we drive to Ohio from South Carolina is Heather's a fracking weenie girl and is afraid to fly. I keep threatening to kill her, to toughen her up but it's not working.

Magnus-
My friend, Nasseem's mom, came to the U.S. via the Congo from Iran. She was Bahá'í. My friend, Ouarda, left Iran, lived in France for a few years, came to the U.S. and then went back to France.
I'm lucky to have sources for dry limes for tea :)

It's not too bad, 10 hours without very many stops but I can't sit that long so we take lots of stops:) We used to drive to Marion, now we drive to Columbus, since Heather's mom moved. A three hour flight, from start to finish, is preferable though.

The only blue county in Texas!
Gallifrey & I was 732... Iran and worked my way across to the UK, came here at 30. Long story and not enough feta cheese. -Magnus

EDIT: Now if you figure out how I got started and stuck in Iran, or how long my name is, I'll give you a cake. Like a real cake, not innuendo for something else cake.

If you are from Gallifrey then your "name" is just three letter long if we leave out the honorific. I should imagine your Tardis delivered you to Iran and then malfunctioned causing you to temporarily abandon her for a sojourn across Britain and the United States in search of Zeiton. Am I close? :) Do I get cake?!
