If it was something like "Never had a mod" contest, where the express purpose is trying to give someone a shot at trying one, I'd be put off by it being sold. If it was a general purpose Vendor contest, random drawing or whatever, then sure, feel free to sell it.
I'm guessing it is a vendor contest. I don't have a clue. I would just feel guilty selling something I won for almost 100 bucks. But I see where you are coming from as well.
i've never sold anything that I won in a contest- probably because I've only won one contest and all I won was a box of cartos and a botle of juice 
I did PIF the juice though because i didn't vape tobacco flavors at the time.

I think I vote with the previous 2 on this one...if it is a "for first timers" or "those in need" contest then yeah, possibly would have issues with that, but a vendor contest maybe not so much. I won a prize the other day and just asked the vendor to give it to the runner up or run another contest as I knew I couldn't use it.

I saw when you did that MASTEROF. That is when I won a Spark Plug 2. I would not feel bad selling it, but would probably just give it away (if I wasn't using it). But that's why we are all here in PIF. We know that giving feels alot better than selling. The few dollars I could make off my win wouldn't compare to knowing I helped someone save their own life.
I have been lucky enough to win four kits. I have given away eight kits to local people. I know six are still going strong, because I supply them with juices. The other two I think are still at it, but can't be sure.
I would not be angry with someone winning, then selling a mod. Sometimes we really need the money more than the gear. I don't expect every vaper to be a PIFer, nor do I expect people in general to be generous.
I ended up trading one I won, but I did list as a for sale option too, I just wanted the trade more. Once I got the PV, I couldnt use it. It was too big and had a bottom mounted button. My bottom 2 fingers are pinned together, so working the botton was difficult.

It wasnt advertised in the contest, and I'm rather absent minded at times. I would have fried more batteries. I used the funds to buy another kit of compatible polarity for my back ups. Maybe it the optimistic realist in me, but I think what would normally be seen as profiting, could really just be "turn around". You sell it and turn around and buy what would work better, you need more, etc....
Who am I to judge? I sure wouldnt want to be put on the carpet to explain MY actions.

I won a mod that dh named "Brass Knuckles" lol. I traded it for something a little more feminine (not girly by any means, just not ginormous and heavy). Had I not been able to trade it for something I liked better, I would have sold it. I did end up giving away the traded mod after I found one I liked better than it and won another for backup. I just figured that after winning two mods, I'd better give one away to even out the karma. But maybe that's just me.
I think it would depend on the contest as well. I don't see much difference in trading it for a mod you like or selling it and buying the mod you like if you win one from a vendor. But if it's a more personal contest... like mentioned above, instead of a vendor contest then yeah, I wouldn't feel good selling it. For instance, the PIF one year anniversary contests were all put up by individual people here and they gave away their own stuff. I think it would be in poor taste to turn around and sell one of those.
Good place for me to chat about the rough week I've been having? I know if I didn't have my PVs I would be back to smoking. First, I experienced my first earthquake last week. I seriously thought about having an analog that day. Scary experience. Then my son (aka as my cat) got out and I haven't seen him for about 5 days. He is not an outdoor cat and doesn't have any front claws. He is like one of my children and I am terribly worried. Then my daughter (actual human being) got Mono from her boyfriend. Finally, we had the hurricane come through over the weekend. Now I am running out of good juice and good cartos. It has been a rough week. Just needed to get that out and say vaping has saved me from going back to smoking during this stressful time.
Very well said. I can't fault people for selling items they won because after all they are theirs to sell, but some things are just tacky. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Worst and most annoying thing is he has a bunch of ideas how to fix them. I said then why don't you just do it yourself? His reply "because I might screw them up - if you screw them up then it's your problem"

If you win something from PIF,you can trade it in PIF or give it to someone else but you cant sell a PIF prize or it would be profiting from PIF and thats a rule breaker.
